Awesome vacation home

Our family met for a vacation and their was 11 of us. The house was located in a great spot on the ocean with wonderful views and sounds. It was well equipped and met every expectation.

Breathtaking Views and Spacious Accommodations

Gorgeous views from all three levels on the ocean view side, with open sliding glass doors for fresh sea breezes. The property is very spacious with plenty of rooms, sleeping accommodations and two well stocked kitchens. Easy beach access with a short walk to sandy beaches. There is wear and tear on windows, dressers, dishwasher and refrigeration. Air conditioning was subpar during our stay with some rooms remaining toasty during sleeping hours even with fans provided to give relief.

The homes are designed with maximum view of the ocean and minimal view of neighbors. Beachfront Only properties are well managed and the service that you get is hotel quality. Just pick up the phone and call with any needs. Our family does a wellness retreat each year and we are now only going to Beachfront for rentals.

Amazing stay

We stayed at this rental in July for my daughter’s 18th birthday. It was beautiful and spacious enough for all of us. We loved the amazing views, two kitchens, and accessibility to beach. One very minor problem was the TV on the first floor was not putting out any sound. Again, not a big deal because there was another TV on them second floor but for the amount of money paid you definitely expect everything to function correctly. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Planning to come back soon.

Incomparable Views, but...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Gorgeous views of the Pacific! Truly breathtaking. While we have a list of negatives below, we must say that we were able to turn this family reunion into a very wonderful and memorable time. The two kitchens in this very large house really helped us to stock up well and to prepare wonderful meals. But... Don’t try to get in early – they will charge you a good fee to enter even 2-hours earlier than the 4:00 PM check-in. Even though the house was clean and not occupied the day prior to our arrival.There are no beach chairs available at this “beach house” – and the concierge service charges a hefty fee to rent them. We were lucky to have family in the area who could lend us some chairs. Of course, there is no beach outside the house, just rocks. You do need to walk a few blocks to get to a sandy beach. We ended up driving 10 minutes to Carlsbad Beach, much nicer than the beach in Oceanside.Maintenance staff, which we contacted at least 5 times for various (small) issues, were prompt and helpful every time, except for the television issues (they never worked). Be aware, however, that maintenance will show up without masks and some are not vaccinated. We had to send one away.While the views are great, they are only accessible from the 2 family rooms and the top floor (playroom, bedroom, weird room). All bedrooms are dark with no views and very little light.Too bad the top floor room isn’t better appointed – it would make for a lovely master suite!LOTS of stairs! Not a great home for families with little ones or with elderly members.There are elevators but they are locked and not accessible to guests.Air conditioning is unstable, most bedrooms are very warm and stuffy. And the energy saving feature means you need to get up in the middle of the night to reset the a/c because it goes off every 4 hours (the maximum time allowed).

Absolutely beautiful views, great location, and everything you needed at the house!!Our only issue was with the Key Concierge service- we do not recommend this at all! We preordered groceries and alcohol delivery through this service. Our alcohol delivery never arrived. I. Spoke to a rep at Key Concierge who shared the delivery was on its way and to “hang tight” as it was a big order. Nobody every arrived and key Concierge never returned my call. Very frustrating way to spend our first night on vacation.

Very nice property but....

It's a very nice property indeed. The views are unbelievable and the space is large. There were some little hick-ups which were totally excusable. For example: We couldn't gain access to the property when we arrived because the codes to the garage and back entrance didn't work. Place didn't have any sugar so we had to make a market run. (No olive oil either and only one set of pepper & salt shakers throughout the 3 story dwelling.) Like I said, these are issues I can easily live with. But, we did have a problem that I would classify as very important to me and my guests. All 3 couples (including self) sleeping on the 3 King-sized beds complained of the mattresses. My mattress in particular was totally concave and I didn't get any good sleep while on this trip (which is a total shame given how nice everything else was). The thing is that a quality mattress is replaced once every 10 years. In my opinion, given the price & luxury point, we should have had decent mattresses. If I learn that the mattress issue has been resolved, I will definitely return to the property for a future trip, otherwise, we'll take a chance with another nice listing. Thank you

Everything was wonderful except the smell of the trash cans in the garage at times drifted through the adjacent floor. The cans should be outside or scrubbed on a regular basis.

Great Ocean front getaway

Great location House is perfect for large gatherings. All in all a great time!!! The one criticism I have is the check in time of 4 pm too late and check out time time of 10 am too early. We paid for 3 nights. U practically loose a whole day with these check in and check out times.

Excellent Location!

A bit spendy, even for Oceanside, California, but the location is outstanding. Unless you drive a small car, don't plan on parking in the Garage (this is true of most beach rentals, btw), but we never had trouble finding a place to park on the Street or at the vacant lot on the corner. (As people who grew up in the area, we Do Not recommend parking at the management office and walking to the rental at night . . . not all of Oceanside is picturesque nor safe. Just FYI.) It would be nice to have a couple blankets or throws for when the evenings get a bit colder and you feel like hanging out on one oft the sofas and watching the ocean; the WiFi isn't robust, and there's no cable TV, but then we weren't there to spend a lot of time watching television. The pier is a short walk, the view is outstanding, and we find the rental to be quiet, clean, and comfortable. The cancellation policy is Super Strict, and the management company makes no exceptions, even in these times of Corona Virus and California shutdowns, so BEWARE before you book.
