Thank you for your feedback. I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience — and especially very sorry to hear about your dog passing away during your trip. That must have been incredibly difficult, and I extend my sincere condolences to you and your family. Regarding the snow conditions, as you know, your stay coincided with an unusually heavy winter storm in Tahoe Donner. During that period, snowfall was continuous throughout the day, and our plow service was working on rotation across the neighborhood. Even when the driveway is cleared prior to arrival, heavy snowfall can quickly accumulate again, and berms at the end of driveways are unfortunately common when county plows pass through. We did have the home scheduled and prepared prior to your arrival window. With storms of that intensity, however, snow can build up rapidly — including in front of garage doors — between service visits. We also remain available by phone and message during all guest stays, and I regret if there was any difficulty connecting in that moment. The fireplace instructions are normally provided in the house manual, and I will review placement to ensure they are clearer and easier to locate for future guests. We work hard to prepare the home and coordinate snow removal during challenging winter weather, and most guests understand that mountain conditions can sometimes be unpredictable. That said, I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I will use your feedback to continue improving.
