About the Property

Your tranquil mountain retreat begins as you wind up from the river valley along a ¼ mile gravel road. You’ll find the cabin nestled into the hillside and surrounded by acres of undeveloped woodland.

Indoor Spaces

Inside, you'll feel right at home with the cozy cabin charm. The cabin is newly renovated, but the large stone fireplace, wood paneling, and ceiling rafters still lend a rustic vibe. We hope you'll get a kick out of the retro decor and accessories, but we've also added modern amenities like a gas grill and air fryer.

The front half of the house features an open floor plan for the living room, dining area, and kitchen. Large windows let in plenty of light and create a treehouse effect as you look out on the mountain foliage.

In the living room, there’s plenty of room for the whole family on the comfy sectional couch. On chilly nights, cozy up to the fireplace or watch a movie on the Roku TV (Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, live Roku channels).

The kitchen has everything you’ll need to prepare meals at home, from cookware to spices, condiments, and coffee. Appliances include an air fryer, microwave, panini press, drip coffee maker, and stovetop espresso maker.

A short hallway leads to two bedrooms at the rear of the house. Relax like royalty in the master bedroom’s king 4-poster bed with luxurious Sealy Posturepedic mattress. This room also features it’s own private half-bath (a shared full bathroom is available down the hall). The second bedroom has additional sleeping space, with a twin-over-full bunk bed with pull-out twin trundle. For larger groups, the living room couches can be made up to sleep two adults.

Get competitive in the basement game room, featuring a pool table, foosball and darts! A working fireplace adds ambiance, and the two sets of sliding glass doors provide easy access to the front and rear of the house.

***Please note that the basement is only partially finished at this time. The main game room has a combo of wood paneling and cinderblock walls, and the floor is concrete. The ceiling is mostly finished, but there is one section where the drywall is not complete. There is also an additional unfinished room that we are using for storage. The lower level is also only accessible through the exterior sliding doors and not through the inside of the house. We are working on completing these renovations, and hope to have this area finished by the New Year.

Outdoor Spaces

The hot tub is located on a covered deck at the rear of the house on the lower level, and can be accessed via the game room or a path around the side of the house. Enjoy a relaxing soak rain or shine, and ambient lighting creates a mellow mood after dark.

The large front porch is a guest favorite. By day, you can watch the busy flock of hummingbirds while you recline on the porch swing or gravity lounge chair. The gas grill and patio table are perfect for a sunset dinner, and in the evening, rope lighting creates the perfect ambiance while you listen to the sounds of the river.

A short set of stairs leads down the outdoor firepit, the perfect spot for marshmallows under the stars. Firewood is ready for you, so no need to forage, and we’ve even got the s’more supplies covered!

When you’re ready to venture out, there’s tons to do in the immediate area. Some guest favorites include:
