Yes sea creatures ( a school of rays, dolphins, crabs, and ?? shark). Our location was superb (easy walk to beach, beautiful sunrise and sunset views from deck, and wild horses seen from deck). It was easy riding on the beach. The house was beautiful inside and out. Enjoyed the pool. Definitely will return.

Best Property Rental!!!

My husband and I stayed here for my 30th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed everything The Weathervane had to offer!!!! So much so, we added an extra night to our stay upon our arrival. The pool was amazing! The location was perfect! The house was clean and well maintained! We had many horse encounters on the property at all hours of the day. I still can’t believe this was available for us to book a last minute trip but we are so thankful and don’t think there could’ve been a better house for our 5 night getaway! We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I chose it to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary and could not have booked a more perfect location! 🙂 The wild horses stopped by almost everyday - an absolute treat to just watch them from both the second & third floor decks. The screened in porch off the living room is THE spot to watch the sunset. We were wowed by a different, awe inspiring sunset each evening. ⛅️ The owners are fantastic! They are very quick to reply and very friendly. The Weathervane has newer appliances, a very well appointed kitchen and fantastic water quality for the 4x4 area. We will 100% be back!

Excellent home, very clean and well equipped

This was our second stay in 4x4. This home had more tour traffic. Also, more ATV/UTV and someone had an old dune buggy that was loud. House located further up the beach than our previous stay, but meant less “crowded” beach. For those of you not use to a well there is an odor to the water and not a lot of pressure. Overall home was very nice and well stocked for stay. Side screened in porch was great with fans and breeze. We did see a group of 3 horses most nights and our final night they grazed in the side and backyard.

First time I’ve stayed anywhere that there wasn’t toilet paper. Everything else was great. The Fully stocked kitchen was great.

Great Location

This was our first time to stay on the 4x4 beach. The house is in a great location and was just perfect for what we needed. The house was clean and orderly. The A/C quit working on the second floor while we were there. We contacted the property manager and she scheduled the repair very quickly. Thank you for a great week!

We love to cook so I really appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with every utensil and appliance you could possibly need (no Keurig, but there is a standard coffeemaker). The screened in deck area catches the breeze in the morning and evening and is almost always shady, great for coffee in the morning and dinner at night. There is a group of horses that hangs out in this neighborhood and they were in the yard and in the slightly wooded lot next door every morning. This house is a cozy little gem and we will be back. Don't hesitate to book it. I enjoyed working with Laura and David at Carova Cottages at well. They were professional and very helpful.

The home has all you need to unplug, relax, and enjoy your time in this beautiful area. We saw horses around the property every day, and across the street nibbling grass on the dunes with the ocean waves and blue sky in the background. We had a gorgeous full moon during our stay, and watching it rise over the ocean with red to orange coloring was magical. The sunrises with the orange, pink, and purple variations weren't too shabby either. Great stay!!!

Can’t go wrong with this place!

Great home and location was great. Clean, great amenities and support. Highly recommended. House seemed much bigger then expected and views were outstanding.
