Beautiful home with a spectacular outdoor space, pool and hot tub!
This home was just about perfect for our vacation. It offers 3 bedrooms in the main house, and a separate apartment with two convertible sofas. There is also a fourth room with sofa beneath the pool area, but I can't imagine sleeping down there. A short drive to downtown and beaches.
The Pros: Infinity pool and jet/heated hot tub. The house is located at a high elevation and the view of the ocean is spectacular. The house is air conditioned and there is a separate ice maker for entertaining. It has the kitchen basics. There is a queen/double bed in each of the two bedrooms upstairs and two single beds in the bedroom downstairs. All have their own bathroom. House is beautifully maintained and there are some towels provided. We spent most of our time at the house during the day and watching sunsets from the pool. Downtown is a quick 5 min drive, and we would spend most evenings after sunset in town or exploring nearby restaurants. There are some amazing beaches 30-1hr drive away as well that we visited.
The Cons: You'll want a 4-wheel drive vehicle to maneuver around Nicaragua generally, and certainly to make it up the hill to the complex--its quite steep. The house did not have some basic things like dish soap, laundry detergent, trash bags or dishwasher detergent (we were never able to find this to even purchase it to while use at the house). More bath towels, beach towels and chairs, floats for the pool and wine glasses (even plastic) would have been welcome. Also, we were never able to get the stove to light, although the cooktop worked. The outdoor gas grill lit, but had no lava rocks. There was also no daily house cleaning, although we had requested to pay for it. The floors are a bit slick when wet, as they are all tile, so a few rugs would have been nice for safety and to avoid slip and falls. Finally, you are only allowed 60 KwH of electricity a day--we only ran the A/C at night for sleeping and used the hot tub heater a few times, but ended up being additionally charged about $350 for the 7 days we were there.
