Welcome to Salty Air Cottage, a charming beach house nestled in the heart of Gulf Shores, Alabama, just a short walk to the beach. This cozy, pet-friendly home is the perfect setting for a fun and relaxing getaway, complete with its own private pool.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this beach house comfortably sleeps 8 guests. The downstairs bunk room with twin bunks has a separate entrance, making it an ideal space for kids or additional guests. The living room features a queen sleeper sofa for added flexibility. The primary bedroom upstairs has a queen bed, followed by a guest bedroom furnished with a queen bed as well, for added comfort. Enjoy entertainment on the flat-screen TVs in the living room.

Step outside to the deck and patio areas to enjoy the fresh Gulf breezes, and fire up the charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) for some beachside grilling. The fully fenced property ensures privacy. This unit is dog-friendly! A non-refundable pet fee of $150 applies for guests bringing a dog. Please notify our office in advance if you plan to bring one. This unit allows a maximum of two dogs. Most beaches in the area do not allow dogs, but there is a dog-friendly beach down Fort Morgan.

CLEAN BED PROMISE
Every Linen, Every Time: Liquid Life washes every linen for every guest. Every linen means every towel, every sheet, every quilt, and every pillow sham – every time. Inside our commercial laundry care facility, all linens are washed in our high-heat (150 degrees) commercial washers with our select, EPA-approved detergents to ensure complete sanitation. Liquid Life also follows specialized procedures to contain soiled linens and protect clean linens for every guest.

MONTHLY RENTALS
The property offers monthly rentals in the following months: November, December, January, and February. To get a quote on the monthly rental rates for this property, call our reservations team. Additional parking passes may be necessary for monthly rentals based on the length of stay and HOA requirements.

AGE REQUIREMENT:
The minimum age to book this property is 25 years or older. Valid photo identification is required to verify age and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Perfect vacation home for our family of 4 and our frenchie. The pool was the perfect size and we loved the under deck space for relaxing and cooking. The outdoor shower was such a cool additional also! The storage room downstairs is full of pool toys and outdoor games that also came in handy. And it’s the shortest 2 block walk to the beach. We will def be back!

Loved the fenced yard for our little dog. Accommodations were excellent, space was just perfect, everything was nice and clean and we left it that way too.

We loved the outdoor shower. Also the wagon and chairs for beach. We stayed outside under the porch and loved the sandy back yard.

Terrible smells! Strong mold smell in downstairs bedroom. Strong paint/turpentine smell from area next to that bedroom. Horrible, horrible stench throughout house. Like human waste. Googled “sauerkraut” smell. Discovered it is most likely a damaged toilet seal or damaged vent to remove methane gas from plumbing. Or maybe a dead animal in the walls. Or maybe an HVAC problem. NOT a fun vacation smell! The first night it woke us up. The second night I couldn’t even fall asleep until after 5amAs a side note, the front door was OPEN when we arrived.

I’ve escalated your reservation to our operations team and the owner for immediate review. Actions we are taking now: - Open a priority inspection of the unit to verify the odor sources you described (downstairs bedroom, adjacent area, and whole‑house smell). - Dispatch licensed HVAC and plumbing technicians to test for sewer gas, damaged toilet seals/traps, venting issues, and to inspect the HVAC for contamination or VOCs. - Schedule a pest/rodent inspection to check for a possible dead animal in walls or cavities. - Order a full deep clean and odor‑mitigation service; if paint/turpentine fumes are present we will ventilate and retest air quality and identify any recent painting or chemical sources. - Open priority work orders to repair any plumbing, venting, or HVAC faults found. - Investigate why the front door was open on arrival, re‑audit our check‑in and lock/security procedures, and retrain staff as needed. - Review cleaning and turnover records and your stay for appropriate compensation. Please send any photos, timestamps, arrival time, or additional details through your Vrbo message thread so we can document everything and expedite the investigation. I’m very sorry this affected your vacation; we will follow up through your Vrbo message thread with next steps.

Not What I Expected but worked okay

Pics of home appeared bigger than actual home, 3rd bedroom & bathroom are completely separate from main home, hv to enter from outside the home. House looked clean but wasn’t clean such as floors, some trash left behind by previous people. Property manag. Very nice & helpful. We had a good time other than size & cleanliness.

BEWARE. Worst most deceiving rental stayed in. Should NOT be listed as 3 Bedroom/2 Bath Outdoor Shower. Accurate listing 2 Bedroom/1 Full Bath w/ Full Pool House Bath Outdoor Shower. 2 bedrooms & full bath in main upstairs portion of home. Pullout couch in living room had water inside when tried using it night 2. As we unfolded, water poured on the floor. Main upstairs toilet broken. Couldn't flush urine or tp, let alone full bowel movement. 3-4 flushed needed. Bunkbed "bedroom" is NOT a bedroom. It's a beach house on stilts with some boards wrapped around the stilts, enclosing them. It's not to code, not insulated, & no central AC like the actual home upstairs (an old dirty window unit that barely works). The room smells STRONG of mold along with mold growing on 2 cloth chairs in the room. A previous traveler complained in their review July 26 w/ rental co Liquid Life responding that they fixed it. This gave false confidence. Not only did NO ONE respond to concerns during the stay (texted and emailed), clearly NOTHING was fixed with the smell/mold, nor can it be w/ the current house setup. The basement bathroom is NOT connected to the bedroom or upstairs along with no AC at all and its beyond tiny. Imagine having children in the bunkbed room as advertised. You have to walk outside, across the deck, down the deck stairs to get to them. You can't hear them. An intruder could get to them. Good luck in a storm. It a biohazard, unsafe, purposely misleading & no communication.
