Home with many issues

Our experience was not good from the get-go. The AC was not working and then the water heater went out and there was no hot water. The property manager was responsive but this home was not in a condition to be rented in the first place.

Great getaway!

There were six of us ranging from ages 12-75. We loved the layout of the house and the location was perfect. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed cooking in the open kitchen and eating together in the dining area. We were close to everything and hope to return.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the home fulfilled our expectations. The four bedrooms accommodated our son, his family and my brother and his wife. With the living area, kitchen and dining space, everyone could easily spread out. The kitchen was well equipped. The deck outback was inviting and the outdoor shower was a hit. The property was attractively landscaped.Two comments: nobody wanted to use the washing machine because there were spider webs and insects inside. Several roaches were noticed two days ago in the kitchen and upstairs.Aside from these fixable problems, the home worked out for our visitors.

Lovely week

We really enjoyed our weeklong stay in Chatham. This home is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood (perfect for walking our dogs!) and easy drives to beautiful Nickerson state park, Cape Cod rail trail, Chatham and even bayside beaches etc. The home was neat with a well stocked kitchen for us to make many of our own meals! We’d definitely come back here. Thank you very much!

Nice house but small living space outside bedrooms

As the title says, smaller than expected living space, though clean and well maintained, newer than you perceive from the pictures. A/C controls wouldn’t allow shutoff and thermostat downstairs when raised still kept A/C on so with doors shut the MBR was cold. Still rated a four.

Overall good vacation

Property didn't appear to be occupied previously to our stay so it would have been nice to given the option to check in earlier then 3:30 pm. Ended up with 2 ticks on me just from taking out the garbage. No steps off the deck to the outdoor shower was inconvenient and possibly dangerous.

Things to fix

Toilet doesn’t flush well. Teflon on pans wearing of and potentially in food. Large limb fell on the driveway. Car would have been badly damaged but we were at the beach. Someone showed up the next morning with a chainsaw the next day at 6:30 AM to remove it! CRAZY

Vacation rental review

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, a good experience but discomfort with the cleanliness of the house. Ice cube maker in freezer did not work this year, always has before. Small thing you might say but it was a great feature - would be great if it was repaired. The property would benefit from a deep cleaning inside - couches, floors, carpets, cabinets. Kitchen needs better cleaning and sanitation, all cabinets including "pantry" cabinet, stove bottom dirty upon arrival, some large bowls, a large stock pot (not the lobster pot that is there) would be great, a working vacuum cleaner, trim branches over deck picnic table as they drop tons of debris on table daily, an extra trash barrel, basement needs to be swept of so many cob webs as you have walk through to access laundry. Property should be as clean for end of summer renters as it is for beginning of season renters who are all paying the same rent. Bathroom rugs were dirty upon arrival. These things are basic and should be tended to. Generally, a great place - but should be a lot cleaner. We bring our own linens, so don't use bedspreads etc, but bedspreads on beds that I fold and put back at end of stay, all either torn or stained, not pleasant to see. I checked that I would recommend this property but without some decent improvements, it would be largely on location and there is too much potential for this nice home for that to happen. Eventually the lack of maintenance would be reason to look elsewhere. Clean is an easy fix, and matters. Thank you.

The kitchen could use a few updates such as the oven, but overall great stay and we would stay again!

Chatham vacation

Enjoyed this house for a personal reason - close to a family member's home. While not on the water, this house is close to Schoolhouse Pond and many of Chatham beaches. Well maintained home.
