Overall we had an enjoyable stay at this property, check in was super easy with the key pad lock. Wifi worked very well and the facilities were nice and clean. There was plenty of space for our party of 8 to enjoy spending time inside. There were some slight maintenance hiccups including a broken outer pane window, a fridge with an expired water filter, and the dryer making a very loud squeaking sound when running. The biggest issue we ran into was losing hot water one afternoon. Turns out that the basketball game in the garage may have shorted the plug the water heater was attached to. The host was very responsive and got back to us in a reasonable amount of time. There were quite a few mosquitos in the back yard making it challenging to enjoy at night. Overall a 4/5 stay, with a little TLC this place would be a 5/5 stay.

Too much to even type. No AC, I had to replace the batteries in the thermostat which didn’t help, water filter needs replacing, the smell is horrific (I didn’t look at the previous reviews of the place which I should have because they have not fixed the smell), previous guests came to the door claiming they left a gun in the house, no bath mats in the bathrooms (I had to put a towel on the floor), and so much more there is too much to type. We ended up leaving after the first night because it was one thing after another.

We arrived at the property to find the door unlocked and lights on. It was clean. But right away we felt unsafe because the neighborhood didn’t look safe. We probably should’ve called the police. Also, There was garbage left at the edge of the driveway. See picture it had been there a while - smelly and lots of flies. The host was good at communicating and apologizing, but the garbage wasn’t picked up until the time we were leaving two days later. There were no check in/or check out procedures. So no code for the door lock or even how it worked. It became difficult to communicate with him when he doesn’t even live in the area and he couldn’t call me. We were communicating thru inbox on Vrbo. So we figured out how the lock worked on our own and left for the evening. Upon return at 3am the lock was not working and the ring doorbell didn’t work either. We were stuck outside. So by chance tried the garage door and it was unlocked. At that point we realized we could’ve been robbed. That was not a good feeling. That morning the host called 2 maintenance guys and they came mid afternoon and replaced the batteries in the lock. That’when we were given a code to lock the door. Just don’t understand why this wasn’t given to us at check-in. I guess the only good thing was that he didn’t stop communicating with us and he did apologize. But our safety ( 9 women) was very upsetting and having to smell the discussing trash every time we went to our car.

Family weekend

For the most part gorgeous house. The most important things were clean like the bathrooms and kitchen. I recommend cleaning furniture and carpets. The house has a musty smell when we first arrived. Also the outside needs maintenance . The host was very responsive.
