We’re a family of five—three boys, a rotating crew of dogs, and a love for adventure. We discovered North Captiva Island by accident during the pandemic. In 2020, we had a spring break house booked on Captiva, but it was canceled while we were literally en route from Virginia—minivan packed, kids and dog in tow.
In a scramble, we found a last-minute rental on this mysterious island only accessible by boat. We were skeptical… but we pulled the trigger.
We ended up staying for 9 weeks—and completely fell in love with North Captiva’s wild beauty, peace, and the slower pace of life. The very next year, we bought a home here and started Las Olas.
Now, we're thrilled to share this slice of paradise with other families, and we hope your stay here is just as unforgettable as our first one was. We partner with incredible people who live on the island to greet you and act as host for your stay.

Whether you're exploring the trails or sinking your toes in the sand, it's all right outside your door.
