Our newly renovated accommodations provide a tranquil retreat after a day of exploration. Just 20 minutes from Gunnison and Crested Butte, we offer the ideal base for your mountain getaway.

This listing is specifically for a hotel room located within a hotel, distinguishing it from typical residential or apartment accommodations.

Harmels on the Taylor is a ranch resort nestled on the banks of the Taylor River and surrounded by hundreds of miles of the Gunnison National Forest. Learn about the rich history of the property, dating all the way back to the 1800’s, to see why Harmels on the Taylor is a special place to so many people.

Entering Harmels on the Taylor through our main gate is just the beginning of what we have to offer with our Almont, Colorado accommodations. Our guest ranch is located just less than 30 minutes from Gunnison and Crested Butte with 100’s of miles of hiking and ATV trails. All of our facilities are available to guests staying here at the ranch. In the recreation room, we have free billiards, ping pong, foosball, wi-fi, big screen TV with Direct TV, puzzles, games, books and a newly-renovated back deck with stunning views of the Taylor River. Cornhole, Horseshoes and Washer boards are located at the Chuckwagon Grounds near the large outdoor fire pit and across from the Taylor River.
Of all we have to offer our guests at our ranch in Colorado, the great outdoors is our most precious. There are many spots throughout the ranch that allow you to enjoy the scenery.
