Thank you for your review. We are surprised to hear that you felt the neighborhood was dangerous and a hostile environment as you extended your stay for two additional weeks. Honolulu is relatively safe and the police heavily patrol Waikiki to protect visitors with a police station directly on the beach and 2-blocks from the building. The Kuhio Village Towers have exceptional security with building FOB access, 64-camera system in the common areas, and on-site security nightly to ensure the safety of the building's occupants. Hawaii does have homeless problem however they are predominately harmless and occasionally may ask for your leftovers but rarely request money. Waikiki also has a lot of surfers who hang around but they are not dangerous people. We would have welcomed the opportunity to support you in real time and address anything that may have affected your experience. We are sorry that you experienced some of the worst weather that Hawaii has experienced in over two decades that resulted in power outages.
