Newly renovated 2 bedroom apartment in a private multi-family home. Clean, modern, and comfortable apartment with easy access to the rest of NYC. Home is located across the Ft. Independence Reservoir providing a serene water view. Enjoy the vast Van Cortland Park with its golf course and open fields. Enjoy the local dining experiences or venture into Manhattan if you prefer. There is easy access to a bus stop at the corner or the train a few blocks away but Ubers work well for your convenience.

It was an awesome place. Flowers on the counter,, a lighted Christmas tree, bottled water in the fridge. The notebook with instructions and helpful guidance was greatly appreciated. Thank you

The apartment is recently renovated with on-street parking with opposite side street cleaning restrictions for 1.5 hours on Thursday (one side) and Friday (the other). Easy to find spots anytime during the day, but try to park by 4-ish because it's harder after peole get back from work. The apartment has a huge primary bedroom with a king bed, sofa and large TV. The second BR is small but enough space for a queen bed and storage. The sitting area has one couch and 3 barstools at the counter facing the kitchen, as well as a small desk and chair under the TV. First floor access with a few steps from outside, but otherwise easy for people with limited mobility. Host stocked the fridge with bottled water and have all the supplies for morning coffee. Super soft sheets...I want to buy them!Very convenient to the NY Presbyterian Allen Hospital (about 1 mile) and is really the only option that's close other than the housing at the hospital. Not a ton of restaurants near here, but easy to drive to Manhattan or further into the Bronx. The apartment is right over the border in the Bronx (from Manhattan).

Eche is the best host I’ve ever had. Incredible communication. 2nd time I rented with him. Great location across the street from the Resevoir. Parking was easy, we will be renting this one again.

Property well maintained. Host very responsive. 2nd floor has reservoir view. 1st floor view of berm. Plenty of foot traffic. Quiet at night. There's a market a couple of blocks to the right. Uber is quite easy. There was an evening of no hot water. Seems another guest also had that issue. Was told heater was off. (? why.) All cleared by next morning. Host quickly provided a much needed desk for working!! Very much appreciated. Outside windows and porch are cleaned often. Nest disconnected. Host quickly had someone respond. No break in AC/heat service as there are 2 units available. TV options are quite ample. Yes, could use that small ladder another guest suggested. These are simple very easy fixes Could use: a garbage pail per room, bed lamps,(I used the closet lights as an evening lamp), a new larger baking sheet, tea infuser, for back support, the reinstallation of the pillows shown in the pic throughout apt., translucent curtains -- right under the dark outs. This would allow the darks to be cinched while letting light in and preventing a full on view inside. Bring curtains to the outside of each rod. Helps with covering entire window. Bring extension cords. This is a Vrbo issue not a host issue. Though Vrbo says all fees shown - not true. The final price is a bit more insurance, other fees. All in all, wouldn't hesitate.

We had a wonderful time. The apartment was exactly as described in the posting. Every room was super clean, bright, and welcoming. We were very comfortable. Eche was very helpful. We appreciated how quickly he responded to our questions. He checked in with us and made sure we had everything we needed. Many nice extra touches made us feel at home. We plan to stay here next time we are in town!

Cold shower, locked out twice

If you like waking up to a cold shower and enjoy being locked out on the street twice during your stay, this is the place for you! After setting the lock codes to expire after one night when our stay was for 3 nights, host blamed the lock itself but then admitted it was their mistake. Then the same thing happened again on night 3! We also woke up to no hot water and had to take cold showers. Host’s idea of making it right was to allow us to check out at 1 instead of 11. Said all this was a mere inconvenience and politely wished us safe travels. Good luck if you choose to stay here!

Very nice apartment

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It was very spacious and nice. The only small thing they needed to add was a bath mat for the tub, it was very slippery, and maybe a small step stool for shorter people to reach some items in the cupboard. I'm only 5'4". Other than that, we had an excellent stay. We did get to meet the owner, because we initially had trouble getting into the apartment and he was a very friendly person. The neighborhood was very nice and clean, would definitely recommend to those who need a place in the Bronx.
