The apartment was great! I immediately felt immersed in a laid back island vibe. It's situated on a side street (gap) not very far above Oistins and below the airport. I did not drive, but if you do, there is a driveway in which to park. I used public transportation and taxis to get to Oistins, into town, and around the island. I had no problems getting where I wanted to go. The neighborhood was really quiet, without the buzz you may experience in more "tourist-y" areas. It gave me a taste of Bajan life. The property owner is cool and lives at the property. She answered any and all questions I had quickly. I didn't have any problems (other than starting the washing machine the first time, and that was user error, but she was gracious and showed me what to do). There is a great little bar/restaurant with great food and music just a short walk up the road. The crowd there seemed to be all locals just enjoying a great lime. A gas station on the main road has convenience store items (rum, beer, snacks, etc), but for grocery shopping, I went into Oistins. This is a great place to stay if you want to be a little further from the action and enjoy island life at your own pace. I loved staying there!
