Great place

Lovely accomodation in a nice quiet location. Clean and comfortable and friendly owners. If you want quiet rather than a busier coastal resort then this is a lovely place to stay. A car is needed to get out and about and to shops.

The Best of Algarve

Trully amazing for those looking for serenity and isolation. This is yet another amazing example that the Algarve is much more than the urban face of Albufeira and Vilamoura.

Paradise in the Countryside

We spent 5 days at Alex and Mildred’s wonderful home and had a great time. A & M and daughter Emay are fantastic hosts and make you feel right and home and super fast to respond to anything you may need. The cottage is beautifully appointed, very clean, and has absolutely everything that you need (and more)! It is situated on a picturesque and extremely quiet property, over 200 acres in size full of fig and almond trees that you are free to harvest! The cottage is surrounded be decks and has very comfortable lounge and outdoor seating - arranged to be living outdoors! It has a great location and short drives to Tavira, Olhao, Fuseta, and Cabanas. The best part is that you don’t have to go anywhere - you can chill by the plunge pool and BBQ fresh kabobs from the local markets! We loved our stay and really felt at home. Highly recommend this as your next destination - we are coming back!

We are Mildred and Alex and we’ve been enjoying beautiful blue skies and sunny days in the Eastern Algarve since 2015. We have build three complete and modern holiday homes and our own house on our property of 20.000 m2 named Casa Nova Safra in Moncarapacho.

How did we come to this?

Mildred had already met this peaceful and pretty country, she had very fond memories of the people and general atmosphere in Portugal. When I first visited, it was love at first sight— it reminded me of the summers from my childhood.

In the following years we decided to visit a different part of Portugal every year in order to get to know the country better. The climate in the Algarve is our favorite, spring and summer are the only two seasons. We became increasingly fond of Portugal and the Algarve and decided to leave our houseboat in the Netherlands and make Portugal our new home. We wanted to share this amazing country and region with others and decided to built 2 vacation homes. On our property we have Casa da Laranja & Casa da Nêspera. Our homes are open to all people from near or far, gay or straight, for a short stay or for a longer stay. See you soon!
