Such a peaceful place to stay. Driveway through the pine trees gets you into cabin mode upon arrival. My daughter really enjoyed the wildlife and the blueberry field. My wife and I enjoyed the view and fresh air of the back porch overlooking the blueberry field. The stargazing with a spotting telescope was an extra bonus. Easy check in and good communication. Cabin had everything we needed for our stay.

この宿泊施設の特徴

This cabin was built by our father, a theoretical physicist, who wished to spend his retirement enjoying Mount Desert Island’s natural beauty and calming pace. His lifestyle was monastic in nature - a mixture of prayer, study and working the land. His extensive library encompassed volumes on science, art, poetry, history and many other subjects. As you may have already noticed, he was also an amateur astronomer who devoted many a cold Maine night to looking through his telescope; his observations were recorded in international astronomy databases.

He always believed that this serene spot encouraged spiritual rejuvenation. We hope that this holds true for you as well!
