We had a wonderful stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was great, and all the amenities we needed were provided. The host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in and check-out easy. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this property to others. This place was fantastic! Everything was clean and comfy! My daughter loved the gaming systems in the basement, and I loved the multiple plugs for charging things by the beds! Best VRBO unit we’ve stayed in, ever!

This property is an absolute treat! I have traveled the world and stayed many places. This property is cleaner than clean. A quiet and safe neighborhood. Accommodations were spot on! Everything we needed and more. Comfortable beds, I slept like a baby. Owners were very helpful, although we didn’t need a thing once we arrived. Highly recommend!

Great Property

We had spent the day at The Ark Encounter and stayed at this property for the night. Just a short distance from the Ark which was perfect for the 4 adults in our party. We appreciated how clean it was and well maintained. Communication was great as well.

This was our first time at a VRBO and we loved it! Everything about the property was as advertised. The owner was friendly and helpful because we had questions due to our inexperience. We highly recommend The Third Monkey 2 to everyone, especially those who are going to the Ark Encounter.

Third Monkey

Lots of amenities in the kitchen and new appliances. The place looks brand new and decorated beautifully. TVs in every bedroom. We didn't use the nice deck or grill.

WE stayed for 2 nights. The beds were very comfortable. The lower-level sleeping futons were very comfortable. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of utensils available for some meal prep. There are 2 suggestions: Recommend grab bars for showers, just a safety measure. Also, the listing should indicate there are stairs up and stairs down to sleeping areas. That would be good information for any guests especially if there are any limitations for guests. Overall, this unit was excellent!

Thank you so much for the positive review! I do in fact call both of those points out in the listing description. I do my best to ensure that potential guests are aware that this property may not be the best option for those with accessibility restrictions.

Nice place

I was a little surprised it was a duplex, but it was quiet and pretty, and had obviously recently been redone just for renting out like this, nobody lives there. It's extremely close to the Ark Encounter, and the little Main St businesses nearby were nice to visit as well. There was coffee, but no cream or sugar. Cooking utensils, but no grilling utensils. Only a couple seasonings, nothing in the fridge like condiments etc. So plan ahead with food! My kids loved that there were TVs in both living areas and the bedrooms. We would stay again! I would just be more prepared in ways since this is not a lived-in home normally. Lance was very quick to respond when I had a question too. Overall, it was wonderful!

Hey Sarah, Thanks for the honest review! I apologize you weren't able to find them but there are grilling utensils in the house. They are located in the cabinet above the microwave. I understand they may not be easy to find so I will try to find a way to make that more clear for future guests Thanks, Lance

This home was spotless. The beds were comfortable and the two futons down stairs were perfect for our two teenagers. Be sure to walk out on the deck in the evenings to check out the fire flies. The kitchen was well equipped including a griddle. The house came with excellent recommendations of places to visit and local attractions. It is centrally located to a lot of places within 45 minutes you can be at the Newport Aquarium, The Creation Museum, or the Louisville Slugger factory. The host was responsive and attentive to our needs as we were planning our trip and once we arrived. 100% we would stay here again if our travels bring us back to KY.
