Suite #1: Beautifully renovated centennial farmhouse with 3 private suites each with its own entrance and exterior space. Front porch exclusively for suite 1. In the heart of wine country. Walking distance to wineries, coffee shop, restaurants, grocery and boutique stores. minutes from the villages of Suttons Bay and Historic Leland "fish town". Great swimming and fishing.
The space
Completely renovated and beautifully furnished with a mix of modern convenience but keeping the country farmhouse charm. Spacious one bedroom with queen bed, full bath, kitchen and living room area with full-size sofa bed.
Guest access
Walk to restaurants, wineries, coffee shops, and the local market. Minutes from the charming Villages of Suttons Bay and Historic Leland "fish town". Both villages boast great restaurants and boutiques along with sandy beaches. If location is everything you just found it.
Other things to note
Dogs are welcome with a maximum of two under 20 lobs with a pet fee of $150.

    Easy Access

    We enjoyed our stay in Leelanau. It was easy access to the apt, just pull in slowly to the steep driveway (which was private from the other visitors), easy check in, accommodations were very appropriate for 3 adults, we felt safe here. The cons were : the electric dryer was (still attached to the piece meant to be hooked on the wall) under the sink, glass on porch, & lip marks on coffee cup. Would we stay there again? Of course!

    Convenient jumping off point for the area with an excellent breakfast and lunch restaurant across the street (Fiddleheads) and a grocery/convenience store (NJ's) within walking distance. While it is on the main road, it is quiet at night. Excellent WIFI and Galley Kitchen, although we did not use it much. No place to unload your clothes, so we had to live out of our suitcases. There were some minor cleaning issues that we brought to their attention.

    The location of the property was great. Close to all amenities. The bed was not comfortable, neither was the pull out sofa. The shower had not been cleaned. Some of the pots and pans were not useable. Check out is too early for a Sunday. Should be 11am.

    Relaxing Anniversary Weekend at Lake Leelanau

    We had a great time on our anniversary weekend at the Modern Farmhouse in Lake Leelanau. The location was perfect - close to everything we wanted to do, walking distance to many things - a short drive to others. The space itself was very nice - clean, comfy and very welcoming. We will definitely look to come back sometime again soon.

    Nice place

    Overall a very nice place. Enjoyed front porch. Location was perfect with great breakfast restaurant across the street and market nearby. A little pricey for what we got and no a/c in bedroom but overall as advertised.

    Minimalist Perfection

    "Suite 1" was perfect for the two of us while the rest of our family vacationed on North Lake Leelanau. It is a private and relaxing retreat with all one needs for a short stay: a spacious bedroom with lovely linens and plenty of towels, a well-stocked kitchen and lounge area for watching TV or reading. Outside, the property has lovely floral plantings and a barrel-fountain to enjoy while sipping beverages on the front porch. We hope to return in the future!

    A wonderful family get together - with our own private space!

    We stayed at the modern farmhouse over the fall season! My husband and I stayed in one suite while my mother and sister-in-law stayed in another suite. It was the perfect set up where we can be together for outings, but had privacy in our own living spaces! Close.... but not too close! We also loved the fall colors of northern Michigan- truly majestic. Plus, all the wineries and shops were open. We will be back.

    Not exactly what we expected.

    The place was very clean. The up front description of the place indicated a king bed. Our unit was a queen, which was not as comfortable. We would have appreciated soap and shampoo samples. Also there is a metal cellar door that bangs in the wind and was noisy during the night.

    Perfect place!

    Such a cute cozy place in the middle of wine country! We booked last minute, and it was easy to communicate with Chris on the checking in and booking process. The suite was newly updated and had everything we needed including a full washer and dryer. Super close to wineries in town (as well as Leland), and it was within quick walking distance to the grocery and a wonderful restaurant in town. Would certainly stay there again! Thank you!!

    Farmhouse Suite

    The property was clean, cozy, and recently renovated. It has a washer/dryer and full kitchen. It's in a great location, close to Leland and Suttons Bay. The host, Chris, was very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend it and look forward to returning next year!
