Weekend in Michigan

The property was great and gave us everything we needed for our duration in Michigan . Close to a lot of public eateries and easily accessible to the highway to the University of Michigan. We didn’t spend much time driving back and forth. The host was very responsive and willing to answer any and all our questions. If we ever find ourselves back in Michigan she has a return guest !

This property is a mobile home in a mobile home park that is not especially well kept. We didn't end up staying here as t it only had one small window air conditioner in the living space, and the reminder of the home was very hot. It smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.

"We had an extremely disappointing experience at this property and ended up leaving within an hour of arrival. The listing was highly misleading, as this is a mobile home in a trailer park, not the comfortable vacation rental we expected. The conditions inside were unacceptable. The unit had a terrible, lingering smell, and the two window air conditioning units barely pushed out any air, leaving the inside hot and stuffy. The bathroom towels were dingy and appeared unclean. Most alarmingly, we found soft spots in the floor in several areas, which made us feel unsafe. When we contacted the host to address these issues, our interaction was very unpleasant and unhelpful. The host was not pleasant to deal with. Due to the significant inaccuracies in the listing and the unsafe and unsanitary conditions, we could not stay and strongly advise other travelers to avoid this property.

DO NOT BOOK – MISLEADING, UNCOMFORTABLE, AND A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had on VRBO. I booked what was advertised as a “house” to host family for the 4th — it turned out to be a mobile home with one weak AC unit. The bedrooms were unbearably hot, and I paid 200 extra for my family to enjoy the 4th No grill, no patio furniture — just two folding chairs for guests! Inside was a filthy dust-covered fan to cool the 3 bedrooms no window screens, and to top it off, a legal notice taped to the front door by a court officer. I contacted the host immediately — she didn’t care and told me flat-out, “no refunds for any reason.” Every complaint was brushed off like it was nothing. I sent pictures to VRBO — and they agreed the place awful and gave some of my money back. This place was a scam, and the host should be ashamed for charging premium prices for this dump. We only stayed 3 nights out of the 8! Host had the nerve to get mad because we didn't like her property

Where do I begin? This is a trailer in a trailer park. Unfortunately for me, I booked this before anyone else had reviewed it so I wasn’t aware when I arrived. VRBO doesn’t require exterior photos and so this host is misleading guests by not stating that in the description. The listing says 420 friendly but it’s clear when you enter that cigarettes are also allowed. We rented this to attend an event at UM and our Uber driver told us we were in a bad neighborhood. Just a very unpleasant experience and when I requested a partial refund through VRBO the host reached out to me and didn’t ask a single question about my experience, only that she was denying my request. Someone who wants to do better for their guests would ask a question or two. There are several things that need repaired, including wall paneling, uneven floor boards and bathroom fans. The towels looked like old rags. The cost for the value we received is deceptive.
