Location was great, with beautiful views over the bay and walking distance from city, parks, shops. The kitchen was well appointed with dishes and cooking implements -- we did a lot of cooking. Host was friendly and easy to reach. We loved our stay.

This is the coolest and coziest place to stay in Berkeley. The apartment is so comfortable, with a great lanai and gardens below. The owners were very helpful. The kitchen was fully stocked to make meals. The house is up in the hills so it has great views and very close to campus. The house is older but completely renovated to combine the modern. Excellent stay!!

Susan and Greg were great and very accommodating. You can easily walk from the property to the Greek Theater and Memorial Stadium, and the UC Campus (about 1/2 mile.) The climb up The hill from Shattuck Ave (about 1 mile) is challenging, and for me required transportation. Shattuck’s “Gormet Getto”has great restaurants, and downtown Berkeley offers great music venues at “The Freight” and UC Theater, as well as the Berkeley Reparatory Theater. The apartment itself is perfect for reading on the deck with views across the bay to San Francisco. Everything is as advertised.

Beautiful historic house. Lovely porch and views downhill to the Bay. Did not cook but kitchen area looked clean and adequate. Bed was very comfortable. Living area very nice and tasteful. Downtown retail is walkable if you don’t mind the steep hill back up to the apartment.

Weekend stay at Berkeley

We were visiting Berkeley to meet our son. The apartment was great for two of us with lovely views of the bay. It had all the facilities we needed. It is about half an hour walk to downtown which we enjoyed. The kitchen was well equipped. Our stay was very comfortable.

The perfect place

I think this was our fourth stay in the appointment at La Loma Avenue. It is always a pleasure to stay with Susan and Greg. Their hospitality and friendlyness really makes it a great place to stay. You can walk to the university, to great shopping and cafes (eg Cheese Board!). And the view to the Bay is amazing! I hope that we will get the opportunity to return in the future.

A fantastic find!

The apartment was great, in a very convenient location with excellent parking, near great restaurants with beautiful parks in walking distance. It was private, with beautiful views and lovely gardens. I stayed for 7 weeks and really enjoyed it. The owner was lovely, super helpful and very inclusive and welcoming. Definitely a find!!

Great Location, Beautiful Apartment

Everything was great! I met the host and her dog on the first night, and they were both really nice : ) I live in Berkeley, and I booked this place for a few days while the floors in my home were being refinished. The location is excellent; it's situated in the Berkeley Hills, but not too far up, so you'll be close to the university, downtown, Chez Panisse, and more, all while enjoying beautiful views of San Francisco.

Easy location

Easy location for walking to UC Berkeley Campus and SFO access via Bart. $3 per day to park at North Berkeley Station and transit into the city. A loaded Clipper Pass gives access to all the city busses as well. Relaxing deck and garden after a day of sightseeing and other adventures.

Berkeley Hills

This is one of the most beautiful settings one could imagine. Easy access to the Greek Theater, UCB, restaurant ghetto, and best of all, Tilden Park. That blew me away most. I just couldn’t pull myself away from the view.

We had a great view over the East Bay from the living room when it didn't rain. When VRBO did not send us directions and access information in a timely manner, the host communicated with us immediately.

Sure! Here's a polished version of your review:---Amazing Stay in Berkeley!I had a fantastic experience staying at this apartment in Berkeley. The view was absolutely stunning—waking up to such a beautiful scene every day was a dream. The hosts were welcoming, and always responsive, which made everything even more enjoyable. The apartment itself was well-equipped with everything I needed—modern appliances, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches throughout. The area is also perfect: safe and quiet. A fantastic view

This property worked well for my wife and I as we came out to visit our daughter. First time in the area and your mountaineering driving experience is put to the test. Berkeley Hills has some nice homes and this is one of them. We really enjoyed the back deck and its view. We loved the gardens and being surrounded by trees. The home offered all we needed as we were out and about for the day. We experienced unseasonably warm temperatures and the only downside was that it was quite hot inside without air conditioning. First world problems that we could live with! Make sure to visit the Rose Park and walk the gardens that are on this property. Can’t go wrong with this property.
