This house was perfect for a weekend getaway with friends. Very spacious, lots of big beds, and perfect for the dogs as well. The hot tub and sauna were very refreshing. We'd definitely stay here again!

This property was the perfect spot for our family getaway. The house comfortably accommodated our guests. The hot tub was the highlight of our stay. The host was extremely helpful and kept in communication with us before, during, and after our stay. We highly recommend.

My family had a great time at this property. It had everything we could’ve wanted to make our getaway special. The host was helpful and responsive. It would be even better during the summer being right on the river. We are already planning our summer trip.

Overall a really great place! Lots of space to spread out in the house and lots of fun stuff providing with the paddle boards, kayaks, and games. The back deck is huge, but could use a good cleaning. I would recommend this place.

While this house could accommodate our large group, the dishwasher was broken. I contacted the host- didn’t get a response until 36 hours later- he knew it but hasn’t told me. We had to go buy volumes of paper products for a party of ten for4 nights. The trash can in the kitchen was broken. A new coffee carafe was delivered two days after our arrival. The kayaks and paddle boards were filthy. The sauna didn’t work. And the exterior of the house and deck were filthy with cobwebs, spiders, and dirt. Obviously this property is not being maintained especially at this price point. Very disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback Christie! We take concerns like these seriously and have already replaced the dishwasher. We also had the sauna inspected to confirm it is operating properly. As a waterfront home, cobwebs can develop quickly during the summer months, especially with the lack of rain we have gotten this July, but we routinely power wash and treat the exterior for pests/gnats/mosquitoes to keep it looking its best. We strive to provide a five-star experience for every guest and appreciate feedback that helps us continue improving.

This rental made for the perfect group weekend getaway. From the great shuffleboard table to the vintage arcade games like NBA Jam, this place was on fire! The beautiful view of the wide river from the hot tub was so tranquil a member of our group asked what lake we were on. It’s the perfect distance from Madison and Chicago that you feel like you’ve truly gotten away, but close enough that lots of activities feel easily accessible. The house was clean and well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal for large groups. The host was gracious and highly communicative (even when we failed to be!). I relish the opportunity to come back again.

The hot tub wasn’t running properly, we couldn’t get the sauna to operate, the games were not operating. The seats in the kayaks were broken. The filter in the coffee pot was left with the grounds in it. The bathroom did not have a waste paper basket so we used a brown bag. The smoke alarm was chirping when we arrived. We had a good time with the shuffleboard and pool table.

Overall the stay was great. We stayed 10 nights. Check-in was a breeze and house was clean and fully stocked upon arrive. Hot tub was very clean. House had tons of entertainment, great for kids. Bathrooms and bedrooms were all spacious and clean. Large screen TV was really nice. We did have a few problems. We had mice get into the silverware drawer and had to wash all the silverware twice. Had to run out to get mouse traps and caught 2 mice under the kitchen sink. No more mouse issues after that. The Big Buck Hunter game did not work. Also the sauna did not work, but it was hot out and we weren't going to use anyway. The driveway is tricky, on a slant and downhill. There was plenty of outdoor trash cans, but on garbage day we were expected to haul the cans to a pickup location about 1/2 mile away, up hill most way. You need a truck for that. Also, we had empty the 2 dehumidifiers every day. There was only a broom for cleaning floor, and for 10 days with a housefull of people, we needed a vacuum and a mop. Water right off the dock is not the best for swimming, but we had a boat and there were a few nicer spots to swim out on the lake.
