Everything was absolutely perfect. We were in the area for a conference at near by Latimer Reserve. We could not have picked a cleaner, more comfortable and beautiful home to stay in. Im not sure which was more enjoyable, coffee on the back porch while watching the deer or while snuggling with the barn cat, Koko. I would highly recommend Shawn's cottage if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

We couldn't have asked for a better stay, location, or host. The place was clean as a whistle and comfortable. We got to see multiple shooting stars, had plenty of privacy, Mr Lester was so pleasant and accommodating. Thank you guys so much for having us- it was an incredible experience!

The cottage was perfect!!! It was close to Fall Creek Falls, but after a long day of hiking, the back porch offered a wonderful retreat, with a view of the deer grazing in the pasture as the sun was setting. The cottage had everything we needed for a girls' getaway weekend! We cooked in two nights and everything was wonderful! Next time we will take advantage of the fire pit.

I enjoyed the cottage, which was very clean and thoughtfully designed. I loved the shower, with enough hot water for long showers. I have no complaints. The host’s dad lives next door and even quickly offered to bring milk for my coffee. We didn't use the kitchen, but the appliances and basic cookware were available. The state park is about 20 minutes from the property. A cat named Koko greeted us and was there to say goodbye when we left. I highly recommend this cottage. Thank you for hosting us.

This place is absolutely beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice! Shawn is a great host! Responds right away to messages. KoKo the kitty is adorable. This is such a peaceful place to stay. The porches (there are 2) have amazing views and great seating. We had thunderstorms and thoroughly enjoyed them sitting on the porches. The cottage itself is beautiful, modern, very clean and comfortable.

This stay was great. Very peaceful property. Handicap accessible which would be a huge plus for some travelers. Hosts communicated well and helped us out when the frisbee landed on the roof. Ops! Highly recommend staying here.

This cottage was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how beautifully decorated and thoughtfully furnished it was. It truly had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.The cottage was spotlessly clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower was beautiful. But the real highlight was the peaceful country setting. The views were gorgeous, and we loved sitting in the covered outdoor space in the mornings, watching the sunrise and deer grazing in the open field. It was so peaceful and relaxing!The fire pit was another wonderful touch. It was stocked with everything we needed—even marshmallow sticks—which made enjoying an evening by the fire so easy and fun.You can tell the owners put a lot of thought and care into making this cottage feel special. It was cozy, beautiful, peaceful, and had all the little touches that made our stay feel like a true getaway.We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend this beautiful cottage! Let’s not forget Koko the barn kitty. She was a delight.

The owners are wonderful people. We enjoyed listening to family stories and learning about the history of the home. The home had everything we could possibly need. The property is Beautiful. This is one of the BEST places we have ever rented. We highly recommend staying at this home.

The home is amazing, beautiful inside and outside. Great touches all around. The wheelchair entrance was great to use. The shower was my favorite part.Met the Father who lives next door and he was a charmer and so sweet. Our time here was very cherished and love to come back soon! Also so close to FCF state park.

A fantastic fall break getaway with my high school senior. We enjoyed downtime in this cute, cozy, clean cottage! The porches were perfect for sunrise coffee before hiking waterfalls during the day, and sunset relaxing afterwards. Fantastic hosts and property! Can’t wait to go back again, that sunrise calls to me!

We had the best time!! The cottage is so clean, beautifully decorated, and so comfortable! My family and I especially enjoyed KoKo, the cat. It was also a pleasure meeting Lester and Aspen. Lester will take care of anything you need. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Relaxing and serene. The fields were so beautiful. We took a ton of pics for my daughter’s birthday. The cottage was gorgeous. The pictures don’t do it justice. Lester was absolutely the best and took care of us like we were family. We WILL be back!!!

This home is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. If you are looking for peace and quite this is the place. The home was so clean and smelled amazing. The sheets and towels smelled amazing too. The host was very attentive and helpful.The best part was the barn cat Koko. We will be back.
