Had high hopes, but ultimately disappointed
We were so excited to stay here with our family. We had a mix of parents and young children along with our parents, close to 70 years of age. The house was beautiful, however there were several issues, one of which became a safety hazard.
One of the beds we could not sleep in. As soon as it was sat in it completely caved in the middle. We luckily had an air mattress with us so 2 guests had to sleep on that rather than in their own room.
Second, my 68 year old father was having coffee on the 2nd story deck when suddenly the leg of his chair went THROUGH the deck. He fell out of his chair and needed assistance getting back up. He was extremely sore the following day. This was terrible. When looking at the hole we noticed that the entire plank of wood appeared to be rotted. At that point, given my dad being hurt and having children ranging from 9 months to 8 years of age, we decided everyone needed to stay off the deck.
We called Vacasa to fill out an incident report because our biggest concern was the safety of our guests and future guests. Since filling out the report, we have not heard a peep from them. I left a voicemail last week stating I would be available to answer any further questions last week and have yet to hear back.
We also had one full day where the power went out every 12 minutes and was not running properly until the next day.
Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed. The house itself was clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. But between the bed being in-usable and the rotting second story deck that caused my elderly father to fall, we are not unfortunately not willing to leave a positive review.
