Hi there! I’m Rosemary (and my husband Joe), and we’re excited to share our home on Camp Lake with you! We've lived in the surrounding area for over 30 years and this is our first lake property. We’re just a short 10-minute drive to Rockford, and about 30 minutes to Grand Rapids—so you get the peace of the country, but the city’s close enough when you want it.

Camp Lake an all-sports lake, stocked with walleye, crappie, and other fish. You can launch small boats via the Camp Lake Boat Launch (just keep in mind there is a fee / permit needed). There’s also Camp Lake Park, which has walking trails, a playground, a basketball court, picnic shelters, and open green space—great for family time, morning walks, or throwing down a picnic.

Sparta is one of those sweet, small Michigan towns where people slow down. Downtown Sparta has charm: restaurants, cafés, shops, farmer’s markets, brewpubs, and orchards. There are seasonal festivals (Town & Country Days, y’know), concerts in the park, local markets, plenty of green space, and orchards where you can pick your own fruit in summer
Our cottage sits right on Camp Lake, which means you can swim, kayak, fish, or simply kick back on the deck with a book. The view in the early morning light is something special. We are close enough to Grand Rapids for those that may have to work during the week but can still enjoy the cottage life as well. We’re super excited to share not just our home, but our corner of nature with you. Welcome!
