One hour before check in our booking was cancelled due to “a leak”. Reading through the reviews, this isn’t the first time this host has done this. Do not rent - or make sure you have a back up plan. Terrible experience. My husband and I were going to Grand Rapids - my husband was there to officiate a wedding we were in town for. Ended up costing us 3 times to find a hotel last minute. Every hotel was booked - if I could give zero stars I would.

Honestly the communication from the host was terrible. I was never sent the house code until we had to ask. We messaged him when we were an hour away and didn't hear a response until we had to call him three times and when he answered he seemed confused the entire time. Then after we got there a family came to the door and said they also had the property booked for that weekend and when they were trying to contact the host he wasn't responding yet again. The listing also said there were more beds than there actually were resulting in some of our party to sleep on the couch. I would not recomend this place whatsoever.

Inside the home was as described in the listing; however, the handrail at the front door was loose, their were front broken screens and blinds, the backyard was not mowed, and there were very few washcloths (considering it says it sleeps 12) there were only two washcloths available. Overall, the stay was quiet and the house was as described online (when it says it sleeps 12 though, that means two people on the couch and two on a futon upstairs). I would say it sleeps 8 comfortably. Check in was quick prompt and Trent was great with communication. The location was close to downtown which we enjoyed because we were attending a concert at Van Andel Arena.

First time booking a Vrbo! Stressed in the beginning about when or how to check in not realizing at the time it’s normal to get that information just hours before! Worked out great for the group size we had (7 Adults). Parking was tight, but manageable, A/C units in most of the rooms was huge with it being 90 all weekend, everything worked and was clean! Wasn’t fancy, but it got the job done with being in a great location with what we had planned! I would recommend and book again!

We were 30 minutes away from the house and they cancelled on us. All they said was there was a sudden leakage, this was 4 hours after we were allowed to check in. Had to book an expensive hotel because we had already driven far.
