Nice, peaceful getaway

My family and I had a very nice stay at this condo. It was bright, clean, and in a great location. Our only complaint is that the bed mattresses need some updating, but otherwise it was a wonderful little home away from home!

Beach escapee

Location was perfect! The beach was 5 minute walk, there were 2 pools and a restaurant conveniently located. There was a water taxi that picked you up behind the restaurant and took you anywhere on the boardwalk. It was awesome! Will definitely be back!

The water views are great, both from the deck outside and from the windows inside the unit. It’s a bit of a climb from the parking lot up the stairs, but we like not having anyone above us (less noise). The condo’s furniture and beds were comfortable. We prepared some Thanksgiving dishes during our stay and appreciated the kitchen’s nice appliances & cookware. All in all, we were very satisfied with the condo and our stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The deck is the best thing about this property. The description of the condo states you can sleep 6. This is not true because one of the beds is broke in the 2nd bedroom. The fold out couch bed mattress was disgusting with dry blood in spots of the very thin mattress. The curtains in the master bedroom fell and the curtain rod teetered totter and would fall if barely touched. When we arrived the office gave us the code to the door and WiFi info which was wrong and they close at 5 and no one to help you if you have a problem. For the amount of money this cost was not worth it at all.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, our experience was pretty good. The main issue that my wife and I had was firmness of the master bed mattress. We would not rent this again solely on that issue. The ice maker would not work and the kitchen light doesn’t work sometimes. The dryer lint filter is also broke. The location and view is great!!

The pools were extremely nice and this property has several so they aren’t over crowded. The view from the balcony was dreamy. We enjoyed our stay as a family of 5 with plenty of room. This condo is located perfectly for the fun.

Family Vacation 2022

Reviewer Comments: Our family has stayed @ Sandpiper for many years and will continue to come back however this property can use many updates and definitely change the seating arrangements in the living area, considering it's a 2 bedroom condo hence allowing up to 6 guest there's not too much seating available as you unwind at nite actually it was a little too uncomfortable. The electrical panel was located on the small wall across from the Utility closet covered by a cloth type of frame which we found to be very unsafe as any child over 4 feet tall could've reach and play with the fuses. Although the wrap around porch was roomie some of the boards were not safe inclusive there was a hole at least 7 to 8 inches or more big enough where you could see the bottom condo and it's guest not to mentioned not safe.The Cleaning crew might need a little reminder to clean the fans at least one a month as you can tell they've not been clean in quite some time.

Great location. Beach access was convenient. Condo was spacious and 2 full baths. Some furnishings need to be updated. Ie couch and twin mattresses. Board underneath outdoor table needs repair. Would definitely rebook.

The kitchen wasn't very big and some of the decor was dated. If you're looking for granite countertops and expensive furnishings then this is not your place. It was, however, clean and comfortable. The place had a large deck that wrapped around and had a nice view of the harbor. There was plenty of seating so we were able to eat a couple meals outside on the deck.The location was great, not far from a couple of pools, the on-site restaurant, tennis courts, and a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed all the amenities, including the 9-hole pitch and putt golf course.The customer service at Sandpiper Cove was excellent and we look forward to our next visit.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Had a great long weekend getaway to SPC in Destin! Love it there this time of year. Great weather and no crowds/traffic. First time staying in unit 4217. It is a very nice 2nd floor 2BR on the canal with a wrap-around balcony to enjoy views of the harbor. Unit was clean, check-in was a breeze. Only negatives are the queen bed in master BR was extremely firm. So much so that my wife with back issues ended up sleeping in the recliner in LR. Twin beds in BR2 were unusable due to the old innerspring mattresses also. While TVs in LR and BR1 were ok, they were both a bit small for the rooms.

We had a beautiful background during breakfast at the balcony because we are close to the harbor. My only complaint though is that the shower is so hard to regulate ..lol
