This 2 bedroom 2 bath home which sleeps up to 6 offers indoor-outdoor living with 4 outdoor seating areas and an easy-to-use gas firepit.The Story Book Cottage offers 2 bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 queen bed) and 2 full baths (with shower and tub) plus a cozy sitting room with a Queen sofa bed that overlooks the garden.
“ We have rented homes in Carmel for several years. This was the best of them all, and Melissa was the best host we have ever had. The home is impeccably maintained and is beautifully appointed. All appliances, kitchen utensils, and serving pieces are top notch. The two fireplaces worked perfectly with just a flick of a switch. The neighborhood is very quiet, even though the house is only a couple of blocks from Carmel‘s business hub. We were able to easily walk to restaurants and stores. Almost all rooms open up to beautiful private decks and outdoor seating areas. We especially enjoyed the large central deck, having a fire pit and oversized chairs, which is surrounded by French doors to all other rooms. Melissa was very attentive to making us comfortable and immediately responded to our texts. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

The house is so close to town but is surprisingly quiet and a quick walk to hiking trails. We love the multiple conversation areas throughout the property - inside and out. And as foodies we really appreciated the excellent quality cookware and knife set"

“We have vacationed in Carmel a number of times, never in a spot as sweet as this though. The house is just as it looks in the photos, beautifully decorated, and so comfortable. We loved the inner courtyard for afternoon lounging. The rental is located on a lovely quiet street, yet also so close to the village. We are getting up in years and the short walk was a pleasure, literally a five minute jaunt to the shops and restaurants. The location can’t be beat. The accommodation was luxurious. Melissa was great. We loved our stay.”
