The house was a great space for us and is nicely updated, well decorated and clean. We were grateful to be given use of life jackets and lake items. The outdoor deck areas were not kept up but usable. We were given access to the storage area where the laundry is after we found no kitchen or beach towels. The host was accommodating and eager to make things right. I would recommend this house.

We stayed here for a girls trip and had a great time. The house is beautiful and comfortable. There is so much room and comfortable places to sleep. The house is super kid friendly, with attention to little things you would need for kids (stools, kid cups, toys etc.). We didn’t use them for this trip, but I’ll definitely keep it in mind when planning a trip with my kids. We were affected by the low lake levels, which definitely was a bummer, but very unusual and no fault of our host.I would recommend 4 wheel drive for the steep driveway and carpooling if you’re coming with a large group. We were able to fit 4 cars in the driveway and one up by the road. The neighbor was upset with us for parking a second car by the road and touching his property, so be aware. (The private property sign is on the neighboring property).This is a great property and Paul was a great host.

Our family stayed here over Thanksgiving week. We had such an amazing time. The house was fully stocked for our stay and there was plenty of room for our family to spread out and not feel cramped. They even took time to decorate for Christmas and checked in with us often. We can’t say thank you enough for everything!! We will definitely be back!

Beautiful home and property. We would absolutely stay there again. The owners were quick to respond in the days leading up to and during our stay. The house was very well stocked with anything we might need. The hot tub was pristine. The only things worth noting prior to booking is there is no washer and dryer. They aren’t listed in the amenities, but I missed that and assumed I would have access to them. The other thing worth mentioning is the driveway is very steep. The first night my Honda had a hard time getting out so after that I parked at the top of the drive alongside the road. My friend’s suburban was fine.

The property was beautiful!! Great grill and outdoor eating space. It is as beautiful as looks online. Maybe better. Lots of games and air hockey in the basement so almost like to living spaces. Lots of room for a family.

Great place off the beaten path.

This is a great property with many amenities. Perfect for my group. The game room and jacuzzi were a bonus. One note the driveway is steep and difficult to get larger vehicles in and out.

This was a beautiful and clean house that was well stocked for a large group. It was peaceful and quiet. The kids loved swimming off of the dock, the fire pit, the kayaks, and the game room. I would highly recommend.

Our family of 6 booked this property for a last minute getaway and could not have been more pleased. It’s a lovely home with comfortable furnishings and wonderful views . Note to anyone coming from the eastern time zone: this property is located in the central time zone. We did a Walmart grocery pickup in Leitchfield on our way in and cooked all our meals there. The kitchen has all the equipment you need to cook anything you want. They provide k cups and creamer for coffee, dish soap, and dishwasher detergent. There are a few basic seasonings in the cabinet. The bedrooms and bathrooms have plenty of linens, pillows, towels, and washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. We spent time at the house playing board games, kayaking, swimming off the dock, and enjoying the hot tub. The basement has a pool table and an air hockey table that the kids loved.We rented a pontoon boat from Nick’s dock and boat rentals (about 5 minutes from the house) for the day for a very reasonable price. We explored the lake and swam in one of the coves.If you have mobility issues, this property may be difficult for you to navigate. It’s very steep and the walk down to the lake includes many stairs and uneven ground. Our active family had no problems and enjoyed the hikes. The driveway is very steep and we ended up parking on the road after having trouble getting our 4 wheel drive vehicle up the gravel drive. Thank you to our hosts and we hope to visit again!

Paul is a great host, very responsive and eager to assist where necessary. His place was one of the few that allowed the 3 family pets. Most places that allow dogs are limited to one under 20lbs. He was also helpful knowing we were getting after dark and provided necessary information for our arrival.

The house is nice,large and accommodating. A couple of the bedrooms are not as described. For example the bunk beds are in the game room basement instead of in a bedroom with a closed door. That was disappointing as my grandsons were not able to sleep there. The pucks were missing for the air hockey game so my daughter purchased them on Amazon to be delivered while we were there. I feel like the host could have offered to do that. The hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioners in each bathroom were not all full. In fact we ran out of the hand wash in one of the bathrooms. The air conditioner stopped working one of the days. It took hours before I was able to speak to the host who then said a service man would be by in a couple of hours to fix it. In the meantime he asked us to turn a switch off on the furnace. Thankfully since it was evening by that time and 85 degrees in the house it fixed the problem and the repairman came the next day instead. The host said he would speak to his wife about what they would do to compensate us but it’s been a week and I have not heard anything. Communication was not what I was led to believe with other people’s reviews. On the plus side the rooms are all spacious. The game room is equipped with many games to choose from for both children and adults. The bathrooms had plenty of towels for us to use. The kitchen had all our needs and the grill was good to use. The decks were large. Again lots of room for many to enjoy.

My family and I (8 of us) had a wonderful time!. Loved the layout of the house, it has plenty of room and more people would have fit easily. House was clean and we were comfortable. My parents are elderly and we all love to fish. My parents really could not go down the back step that leads to the shore to fish so we just got in the car and went for about a mile down the road to a close boat ramp park and we fished there. We caught plenty of fish and had a fish fry later that night while watching UL football game, the night was awesome!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH AND WE WILL BE BACK SOON.

Lovely Lake Getaway With Best Hosts Ever

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The highlights for us were the private decks and lake views, direct lake access, and the large supply of lake gear that included life jackets, water shoes, a large water mat and a baby float. With several small children, this safety gear enabled us to take all the kids into the lake. The kids enjoyed it so much. The home was well-equipped with large living areas and we had everything we needed. The hosts were really exceptional, very gracious, proactive and responsive to issues or questions that came up.If you are thinking about renting this home, be aware the driveway is gravel and very steep - some will find it difficult to go up and down. The backyard is wooded, keep the bug spray handy. If you have toddlers you may want to bring security gates to keep them corralled on the deck. If you love a natural setting, this rental is for you. We loved the house, the location by the lake, and the hosts.

Great house - roomy and plenty of space for our family and plus ones. Loved the fire pit, roomy decks, and access to the water. Paul was responsive to any issue we had. Just really struggled with the drive - hard to get vehicles in and out comfortably.

It's big house for one to mutliple families. It has plenty of space to spread out, grill out, host, or just unwind. Kayaks will get you through the many fingers and bays. A entairnment center - equiped with TV/surround sound, board games, a pool table, darts, and pop-a-shot. Fire pit to roast marshmallows and enjoy drinks and laughter.
