Sandy River's Hush, Cozy Cabin on 1.2 acres tucked above the Sandy River
Welcome to Sandy River's Hush, where we invite you into a haven of quiet comfort, adventure, and genuine connection with nature. As your hosts, we've designed this space with the spirit of rest and exploration in mind, honoring the flow of the river and the peace it brings.
Tucked on 1.2 acres of riverfront along the Sandy River, our cabin offers a rare blend of seclusion and convenience—just 2 minutes from Hwy 26, yet it feels like a world away. The hush of the river can be heard from every corner of the property, especially when you open the back door of the main cabin.
Inside, the main cabin features a fully equipped kitchen, a warm and inviting living/dining area with a wood-burning fireplace, a reading nook, and 3 bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms. The main floor includes a king bedroom with an ensuite bath—soaking tub and separate shower included. Upstairs you’ll find a queen bedroom with an ensuite (tub + shower), and a third bedroom with three twin beds, just next to a full bath with shower.
Next door, the detached garage is set up as a gear-friendly zone—a great spot to drop and dry everything after a day on the mountain. There’s space to tune bikes, snowboards, and skis, making it a perfect basecamp for year-round adventure. Above the garage, the bunkhouse includes a full bath and four built-in bunk beds. It's ideal for kids or night owls—equipped with a TV, streaming apps, and a PlayStation.
Every bedroom is outfitted with Pendleton bedding and every bathroom with soft, Pendleton towels. Cozy blankets are tucked throughout the cabin. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything from a Nespresso machine and kettle to an air fryer, Instant Pot, and griddle.
We’ve taken care of all the details so you can focus on what matters: relaxing, listening to the river, and reconnecting—with yourself, your people, and nature.
Some Important Info before you book:
River Access: The Sandy River flows about 40–50 feet below the cabin. A private trail leads to the river, but it is steep and can have loose dirt and rocks. Because of the terrain, the trail is not suitable for everyone.
Fortunately, even if you never make the hike down, you'll still enjoy one of the property's best features: the constant sound of the Sandy River flowing below. The river can also be seen from several areas around the cabin, creating a peaceful backdrop throughout your stay.
For guests who feel comfortable navigating the trail (at their own risk), a small, secluded beach offers a peaceful place to relax beside the river. During the winter months, however, the beach is often underwater due to higher river levels.
Included: Firewood (unless wood fires are banned due to dry weather), coffee (beans + Nespresso pods), stocked kitchen, bathroom amenities, and a few outdoor chairs.
Grilling: Weber charcoal grill, propane flattop, and Napoleon smoker available. Please bring your own charcoal and/or propane depending on your preferences.
Dining & Seating: -Indoor dining for 6, multiple cozy seating areas -Outdoor gazebo with picnic tables for up to 12 -Deck with rocking chairs, bar table, and stools
Outdoor Space: Quiet dead-end road. Peaceful, respectful community. No loud parties. Expansive yard for yard games, small retreats, elopements, and photo shoots (please confirm details when booking to ensure they align with our property rules). You’ll even find a DIY bucket golf setup with wiffle balls and clubs.
