Stay on the water in North Clearwater Beach. Launch a free kayak or paddleboard right from the property, ride a free beach cruiser to dinner, and walk a few minutes to the white sand of the Gulf.

THE SPACE
One-bedroom houseboat with a queen bed, sleeps 2. Kitchen with stovetop, microwave and refrigerator, a deck and water views. Impeccably decorated, with all the amenities of a personal home. The houseboat is 100% private and exclusively yours, while still letting you connect with other guests if you`d like.

THE PROPERTY
Relax in the shared waterfront gazebo and Adirondack seating. Find a quiet corner or meet fellow travelers. Our on-site Stay & Play office is right here for local tips, beach gear and help with anything you need.

THE LOCATION
• Walk to the Gulf beach, Frenchy`s Rockaway Grill and Palm Pavilion
• Next to the municipal boat ramp and a kids` play area
• Shops, restaurants and nightlife within walking distance
• Getting around: free bikes, the Jolly Trolley, Uber or golf cart rental

Moored at our boutique Stay & Play property on a safe, quiet corner of Clearwater Beach, just far enough from the busy strip while still close to the island`s restaurants, shops and beach. Enjoy our private courtyard tucked away from the hustle.

HOUSEBOAT NOTES: While we have taken careful consideration to provide the safest and most guest-friendly accommodations, this is a houseboat and guests must acknowledge certain contingencies: safely entering and exiting the vessel, potential minor rocking, and moving about within tight quarters. Our mandatory Liability & Awareness waiver must be signed by all participants; no exceptions will be made.

Any extraordinary cleaning, damages and/or undisclosed pets will result in a minimum additional fee of $150.

RESORT AMENITIES FEE: $40 per stay. Covers all the inclusions listed above.

SECURITY CAMERA NOTICE: For the safety of our guests, staff and property, security cameras are installed in the following outdoor areas: jet ski/dock area, south and north courtyard areas, office door and exterior office area, and the parking lot. No cameras are located inside guest spaces.
Absolutely NO SMOKING inside the unit (includes vaping, incense, etc.) No parties or events. Any violation will result in immediate expulsion from the property without refund. Please also refrain from loud music, especially in the evening. A $100 charge will be added for lost keys

Communication was very good and quick, had a few AC issues, however was very quick with answering and resolving the issue as well as comping a day with the golf cart which was very fun and ideal for commuting around the island. Very fun and would recommend it.

The communication from the hosts was excellent and the check in process easy. The property is just as described and makes for a very unique experience. I enjoyed the location just across the street from the beach with shops, convenience stores and restaurants within easy walking. Sitting on the outside deck was so relaxing with sunrises and sunsets. My only negative is for others who might be light sleepers. There is noise associated with it being a house boat, especially if weather gets a bit rough and the portable air conditioning units never stop. Other than that it is a cute property and nicely maintained and managed.

Enjoyed our stay. Houseboat was clean, host was great, enjoyed the use of their bikes, had fun on the jet skis and everyone who works on the property was extremely nice and helpful to us. Favorite part was sitting out on the deck of the houseboat.

Check in was super easy and the host was easy to work with. We absolutely loved the house boat, it was such a neat experience. It was clean, well stocked and comfortable. It was even decorated well! Having coffee on the front deck was one of the best parts!

Loved the house boat! The host went over the top to make sure we taken care of. They had bicycles to use during our stay! They also had kayaks to use! Will definitely be back for another stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The location was a perfect combination of being close to the beach, bars and restaurants yet far away and peaceful to get away from the busy action. The hosts were great and very accommodating. Highly recommend

This was our second time staying with Stay and Play Vacation Rentals and it was another truly exceptional experience! The adorable houseboat was nothing short of magical! We were provided with everything we needed for toiletries, coffee, as well as beach gear! The location is perfect! Just steps from the beach with amazing dining choices right there as well! The jet ski tour is also a MUST! ALSO located on site! The bicycles that are provided are the cherry on top! We can’t wait to come back!

Very clean and exactly as described. Really no place for luggage and have to remember your on a “house boat” so toilet is like in a camper.No issues though.

The inside configuration of the boathouse was better than we expected. It was very clean and comfortable for the two of us. It was well stocked beyond what we expected. Our most enjoyable moments were sitting on the porch and actually watching dolphins swim by us. It happened on more than one occasion. Of course we saw our share of seagulls and pelicans. The boat was moored securely. We enjoyed the slight movements. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom wasn't what you'd think you'd find on houseboat. We thought it would be similar to an RV bathroom. It wasn't. It had a full size shower, toilet and sink. The boat's location was perfect from the beach. We had taken our own beach wagon to convey our own beach chairs and cooler. The boat has a beach wagon and cooler. We used ours since we took them. The walk to Pier 60 was approx. a mile or so. We chose to walk. We could have taken the trolley had we chosen. Clearwater Beach is beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants and entertainment. You might want to take one of the many boat cruises offered there for dolphin watching and Sunset cruises. Clearwater Beach is a barrier island. Once you're on the island you don't need to leave it. Communications with the owner was more than satisfactory. You gotta try the boathouse.

Overall, we had a good stay. The location was definitely the biggest highlight—it’s very close to the beach, the neighborhood felt safe and clean, and the house had everything we needed for a beach vacation.However, I don’t think the property was as clean as the photos and reviews suggested. We found hair that clearly belonged to previous guests, and there were stains inside some of the kitchen cabinets. It wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t meet our expectations.The biggest downside was the air conditioning. It has to run 24/7, can’t be turned off, and it’s very loud. It made it difficult to relax after coming back from the beach. There was also a very strong odor coming from the bathroom throughout our stay. If we left the door open, the smell spread into the room; if we kept it closed, it became even stronger inside.The property could also use some maintenance. There is visible water damage near the bed that appears to have been painted over rather than repaired. The bedroom closet also gets extremely hot because of the AC unit, making it difficult to use.Overall, we enjoyed our vacation because of the excellent location and beach access. However, for the price we paid, we expected a cleaner, quieter, and better-maintained property.

I don't regret staying here.. but I don't know that I'd do it again unless some things were different. The closet is not usable as a place to put any sizable luggage so we had to put ours in the entry. A better way to do their AC/dehumidifier setup is needed; it is both in the closet and outside of it on one end and the other its just there. I don't know much about boats; however, I would think there should be a solution that could be done similarly to RVs where they have ceiling mount solutions. The AC was so loud that every time it would kick on I'd wake up and I would also go from hot to cold... it wasn't accurate at all. In thinking I'd really rate it a 2 of 5 stay because of that. Also it seems everything heavy is on one side of the boat so there is always a lean to it and when you sleep your feet are slightly in the air; I'd think there was a way to construct it to balance it out. On the positive side it had a great kitchen for a little boat... though I think the fridge is overkill for anyone not staying less than two weeks... but maybe some stay for months at a time. The real thing that saves it from being a two star is the back deck, we loved sitting back there watching birds, fish and even a pair of dolphins. I think this could really be a great place with some alterations a five star then. The area is quiet and relaxing, which is a big plus. Staff very friendly. The reserved parking space also great.
