Private River Oasis & Jungle Canopy Bird Paradise

Our place is the perfect spot to experience and feel the Jungle. We are waking up every morning to the sounds of birds and Howler Monkeys. The house was built on the side of a mountain and it does have a tree house feel. The wrap around deck invites to eat a meal or just to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The property borders a wonderful river with beautiful natural pools! The 2.5 Acre garden is perfect for bird watching and to pick fresh fruit. Away from it all.. but only 15 mins from Uvita!!

The space
We live in a jungle home with mountain views! We love to sleep with the windows open to listen to the sounds of nature and nature is loud here! You will be able to see the stars in a magical way and Full Moon nights are amazing!! The wrap around deck is accessible from every room and definitely is the star of the house. The deck is perfect for dining, bird watching or also to practice yoga. We just added deck doors to also child proof the space. Both bedrooms on the main floor have Air conditioning...we hardly ever use it though. We are a little higher up in the mountains and it cools down nicely at night and we often get a little brise during the day also!! The third bedroom downstairs has a private terrace with a hammock and a private bathroom. We have strong Fibre optics Wifi in the whole house, on the deck and also in the downstairs bedroom. Our property is at the end of the road.... peaceful, hardly any traffic... all you hear is the jungle and the river!! A 4x4 vehicle is required to reach our place. The house is close to pavement, only the last 500 meters or so are gravel. The last 100 Meters are steep and you will have to use your 4x4 function!!

Guest access
Our guests can access the whole property and check out the garden! The River down below is wonderful for swimming and exploring!! Our river is one of the top 5 rivers in CR in terms of water quality and nature! Many different size pools invite for a swim and we also have cliffs for jumping and waterfalls for sliding down. The water has the perfect temperature to cool down on a hot day. We always hear that it is a different world down by the water and that is so true!! We have many, many different fruit trees and flowers in the garden so Hummingbirds and Butterflies can be seen all day long!! You never know what type of animals you will see around our house or on your way here. We call our Home "Casa Tucan" because of the many Toucan's flying around. They are so much fun to watch!!! Quite often the monkeys play in the trees and can be watched right off the deck. Many tours like Bird Watching, Coffee Tours, Waterfall tours and Horseback riding are available close by. Uvita is of course a Gem in terms of Waterfalls, National park access, beach access and endless restaurant and shopping options to enjoy.

Other things to note
Our house/kitchen is fully equipped!! Everything is here to cook a full meal to enjoy inside or outside on the deck!! Our Gardener Rolbin usually works in the garden on Thursdays and is happy to show our guests ripe fruit in the garden or hidden birds nests!! Don't be shy to ask him questions!!
