I have made VRBO and the owner aware since July 30, 2025 that this property's listing is "grossly misleading" (this is actually the term a VRBO agent used when I sent photographs of the property) and a health and safety hazard. There is no sandy beach as shown and described (just rocks, seaweed, and trash), the property is filthy, the smell is overwhelming. It is uninhabitable. There was visible mold, visible dirt on the pillows, overgrown foliage blocking the property, floor to ceiling junk in closets, and broken tile all over the pool. We could not stay because the property was a health and safety hazard. I held off because I don't want to negatively impact someone's livelihood, but since VRBO and the owner refuse to be honest and remedy this deceit, I want others to avoid being defrauded.

Island Charm

A beautiful, tucked away island oasis. Everything you need for a relaxing, stress free holiday. Thoughtfully laid out accommodations with nice attention to detail. The host was very responsive to any questions. It exceeded our expectations.

The location is amazing! You are literally staying directly on the beach. The house has everything that you would want. Past guests have left so many beach items, from water shoes to beach chairs...we benefited from it all! The kitchen is well stocked. We loved the open air of the upstairs, and the AC in the bedrooms for sleep. The pool is small, but perfect for cooling off and relaxing. If you are noise-sensitive, bring ear plugs for sleeping. The waves were relaxing and lulled me to sleep for most nights, but there were a few nights the waves were strong and pretty loud. Ear plugs did the trick! We loved it and would definitely return.

Relaxing and beautiful setting

The property was beautiful. I really enjoyed listening to the ocean waves while going to sleep. We relaxed in the pool after our day excursions then walked to the nearby restaurants for dinner. Everyone on the island was welcoming.April was great in staying in touch and making sure that we were happy. I had a medical emergency and she provided information about the emergency room and the pharmacy. Could not ask for a better host!

This was literally the worst the rental evexperience i've ever had in all of my travels.

This properly did not look anything at like any of the pictures in its ad. It was so filthy dirty. I did not feel comfortable even having my family or the baby with us.There

Blue Moon House

My husband and I have rented the Blue Moon house for the last several years. We love that we are right on the beach, walking distance to town and have great neighbors. April and Vietro who manage the property are incredible and have taken care of every need with the best customer service you can ask for. Highly recommend

Lovely place

Great location on the water with a pool and a terrace. Great snorkeling spot if calm. Just wear beach shoes or flippers. We snorkeled at three other places before trying in front of the house and thought it was one of the best. We went out 3 times. There is a shelf is just to the north west. We saw two nurse sharks and several rays as well as other fish of course. Had no reason to contact the managers other than checking in and leaving, which was straightforward. It was a great choice.

Everything they advertised was right on the money. April answered every text we sent with questions very quickly. The home was clean, and comfortable. It was everything we wanted and we will hopefully be back!!! We loved the deck upstairs and the pool area and patio downstairs! We also loved the 'wildlife' we would find around the house (cats, hermit crabs, an iguana we named Juan, crabs)

Wonderful spot

Great place for a family of 4 with grandparents. Location right on the water (we did swim there a bit but hardly much of a beach, and the water was rough) but the view and the sound was lovely - also made for a perfect breeze. Some did use earplugs at night as the ocean is right there. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of seating for 6. We hit the different groceries in town - pickings slim, but it’s an island. Try the Tuesday fruit market for produce and the grocery just after the turn to Esperanza. The island is small but with a car we went everywhere and liked punta arenas and Caracas best. Plenty of beach and bath towels, 2 beach chairs were there when we visited, pool was chilly but cute - probably nice to have in summer. Well stocked kitchen - normal rental thing of no sharp knives, but otherwise great. Caribbean chic. We loved it and would recommend!

Moon-Versary at Casa Blue Moon

It was our long delayed honeymoon and our 20th wedding anniversary vacation and it was the ultimate place! For us, we were thrilled that Casa Blue Moon was perfectly tucked below a canopy of flowering trees, a few coconut trees along the property and palm plants. There are 2 decks that we enjoyed having our morning coffee, eating our meals and taking in the awesome ocean views. Through the blue gate off of the pool deck is a quaint beach area that we enjoyed at low tide to collect rocks, seaglass and shells. Since it is a public beach, we walked over in the cove area for some swimming where there were less rocks for us aging folks. The wearing of water shoes is recommended. High tide provided the sights and sounds of waves rolling in. The pool was absolutely perfect for gentle swimming, wading and floating around in at any time of the day. For having been through Tropical Storm Fiona just days before we arrived, the house and grounds withstood the storm well. The interior of the house is characteristic of being a “beach house” right on the ocean. And with also being a rental property, there were visible updates throughout the home. Casa Blue moon is very charming, comfortable and provided all of our basic needs along with A/C in all 3 bedrooms for comfortable sleeping. We truly delighted in all of the homes character, location, plant and animal life that was at our very fingertips. Our communication with our hosts, April and Verito, from the time of booking Casa Blue Moon to our departure was excellent! They were extremely helpful, kind, professional and personable all in assuring that our stay was outstanding. And it was! Muchas Gracias!! Betsy & Jeff

Convenient and Casual Oceanfront Comfort

Our hosts were extremely friendly, responsive and available for questions about the house and island life. The house is as advertised, with everything you need. Very clean, but reflecting largely open air, sea front concrete construction of a certain age, nestled in tropical greenery. Our kids appreciated the AC for sleeping, but we enjoyed the ocean breeze + ceiling fan and crashing surf, which is just a few yards below all the bedroom windows. Abundant beach towels were appreciated as were kitchen basics that came with the house or left by previous guests. Take inventory before shopping! The beach at the house has lost sand since the pictures in the VRBO entry, but La Lanchita beach is fuller and just a short distance down the waterfront. We enjoyed the compact pool, but drove to the many wonderful, nearly empty beaches in the NWR only 15 minutes away. The house is walking distance from the ferry and “downtown” Isabella, but we always drove. Rent a jeep to see all the island has to offer. Nice parking private spot out front.

Amazing Step into Rustic Tranquility

If you are looking for a peaceful get away from the hustle and bustle of the city-this is the place. April was amazing and attentive to all our needs. The kids snorkeled daily and I enjoyed my sunrises with coffee overlooking the ocean. The sunsets are breathtaking and the food on the island is some of the best food we’ve tasted. The rustic feel of the seaside home and privacy of this residence is amazing. This island has so much to do for an adventurous family. This home is a vacation in itself and we could spend days just exploring and swimming at our house. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Awesome place!!!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this property. Loved being able to step onto the beach from the side door, and it felt like a private beach! We loved the island, the locals, the food, and loved loved this place. Considering the climate, there was mold in the showers, it did look like those could use some updating. Other than that, it was such a beautiful place!

Literally ON THE BEACH

Great property, private but super close to town. Well-appointed with 'shabby-chic' decor that makes you feel...the "aaaaahhh" of Vieques. Enjoyed both breakfast and sundowner cocktails from the fantastic patio. An exceptional property manager makes everything so easy.

A beautiful and restful escape

This property was such a restful place to spend several days. It has everything you could need to enjoy yourself if you are looking for a down to earth experience. This right on the water gem has constant breezes throughout both floors, three lovely bedrooms all with beautiful views and breezes. The ocean sounds were so soothing and I slept so peacefully, it was almost like sleeping right on the sand, only more comfy! Lots of cozy spots to relax inside and out, a nice Kitchen with everything you needed to cook. I liked Isabel better than Esperanza personally, it had a real island flavor and very laid back vibe. Great responsive managers too. All around wonderful stay, I hope to come back with friends or more family next time- the house could easily fit three couples.
