The Space:
The Palm Cottage at the Palm Cottages, on the North Shore of Vieques Island in the beach side neighborhood of Bravos de Boston, is one of the Vieques vacation rental cottages at the residential compound that was formerly a church, its rectory, and several small out buildings.  The property has been completely renovated and all new as of Summer 2019. The Palm and Pool Cottages can be rented together or separately. This means that if you are only renting one the other one may be occupied by another group with which you will share the pool.

Located in the heart of the lovely Vieques Garden District, the cottages are surrounded by exceptional tropical gardens designed and maintained by the well-known Bravos Boyz whose offices are also located in the old church building. Ever popular La Chata Beach is a one minute stroll down the road and is a Bravos Boyz favorite for a morning swim, beach combing for sea glass or watching the surfers catch that perfect wave.


The Palm Cottage was the former pastor's house and has been beautifully restored and updated. This rental house offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms making it ideal for two couples or a family. All have queen-sized beds with quality linens, air conditioning if desired and tropical garden views. The Palm Cottage lives open and airy with vaulted ceilings and ceiling fans with almost constant Trade Winds and the sound of surf crashing.


The Palm Cottage shares a beautifully landscaped, pool with an artful fountain with the Pool Cottage across the way. There is also a private screened outdoor living room called the folly which is a great place to lay and read or play cards and enjoy the beautiful garden setting. The Folly is designated only for the use of Palm Cottage. The tropical oasis and landscaped grounds create your own private sanctuary.


Both cottages offer high quality thread count bed linens as well as fresh white towels and bright colorful beach towels. The upholstered furniture is very comfortable as well as offering a smart tv with streaming apps and high speed wireless internet.


Additionally, we offer you washer and dryer as well as beach chairs and coolers so that you can stay in a Bravos Boyz house and only need to bring flip flops, a sarong and a bathing suit.


One of the delights our customers regularly comment on are the many tropical plantings the first of which are 30 foot Puerto Rican Royal Palms that Thom planted from seed around 2003. Additionally, there are Areca palms, Mac Arthur palms, Adorneidia palms, Figi Fan palms, Travelers palms, Coconut palms, philodendrums, orchids, scented Ylang Ylang and spider lilies, hibiscus, blooming bromeliads, bananas, pink, white, and red ginger, heliconias, colorful crotons, various ferns, herbs and many other surprises including, night sounds and visiting Iguanas.
