Escape to this mountain retreat without sacrificing accessibility – it's conveniently located just off the main road from Colorado Springs, with a driveway that remains manageable even in winter. As you park in the private driveway and ascend the stairs to the upper-level deck, you'll be greeted by expansive outdoor living space. Take in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the clear Colorado sky, while enjoying ample seating and a captivating fire-table.
Upon entering through the front door, you'll step into a welcoming space infused with the owner's mid-century modern aesthetic. Think "Mad Men" meets mountain charm, complete with a functional wood-burning fireplace set in a locally-sourced flagstone hearth. Natural elements like knotty-pine paneling, hardwood flooring, and picturesque views through massive windows create an inviting atmosphere.
The open kitchen and dining area beckon culinary enthusiasts with knotty-pine cabinets, black stone countertops, and stainless steel appliances, including a massive gas range. Designed for comfort and entertainment, the dining table seats six comfortably.
Two of the home's four bedrooms, including a master with a king bed and a second bedroom with a queen bed, are located on this upper level.

You will be given your own secure door code to access the property 48 hours before check-in. This code will be active throughout the duration of your stay.
4WD is highly recommended in the winter months. The driveway gets plowed (typically done in the mornings). Please account for snow being present in the winter months (November-May). When in doubt please park at the bottom of the driveway along the main road.
-Although the home doesn't have central AC our evenings are generally cool in the summertime, simply opening the windows will provide natural coolness.
-Please review the sleeping arrangements prior to booking.
-Please keep all trash secure in the bins. Do not leave any trash out overnight for your safety and the surrounding active wildlife in the city's area.
-The TV's offer streaming services only for guest's to use their subscriptions. Just don't forget to log out!
- If you would like to utilize the fire place, don't forget to grab a bundle of wood on your way!
-Bears and other wildlife frequent the area, please do not leave trash in the open or in your vehicles. If you take trash out please make sure they are in the bear proof trash cans. Do not leave pets unattended outside. Be aware of your surroundings when going outside at night. Do not feed the wildlife.
Please note that we offer two options to protect both you and the property, ensuring it remains in excellent condition for you and future guests: a non-refundable Damage Waiver for a small fee $50, or a refundable Safety Deposit hold on your card of $1000, which covers potential damages during your stay. If you are bringing a pet, please know there will be a pet fee of $10 per pet. These options will be presented to you after booking via our Guest App.
Travel insurance is recommended. As with any vacation, unexpected situations sometimes occur that can put a damper on even the best-planned trips. We stand by our firm by our cancelation policy and getting travel insurance is your best option for protecting your trip from the unexpected.
***For stays longer than 30 nights we do require a lease agreement, background check, copy of drivers license, and a one time insurance fee to be paid before your arrival. The one time insurance fee for stays 30-90 nights it will be an additional $750, 30-180 nights would be $1000, 30-270 nights would be $1250, and 30-364 nights would be $1500***
For reservations longer than 30 days, we charge a doubled cleaning fee due to the increased time and effort required for maintaining the property. This additional fee helps ensure the space is thoroughly cleaned after an extended stay.

-All smoking must be done away from the house (in the driveway) not near any doors or windows where smoke may drift into the home
Quiet Hours are from 9pm to 8am. No more than the authorized # of guests at the house during quiet hours.
No disruptive events or parties. Airbnb guidelines state that if a guest is reported for a disruptive party or violating Airbnb's party and events policy, they may be subject to suspension or removal from the Airbnb Platform. In addition, the host may also ask that you vacate the property and no refund will be given.
Fee schedule for violating house rules:
-Unauthorized late check-out: $50 immediately, $50 for every 30 minutes after checkout (i.e. +$100 at 30 min after checkout, $150 at an hour after checkout).
-Smoking in the house or in an area where it can drift inside: $250-$500
-Unauthorized Parties or events: $250
-Additional guests beyond what was approved when booking: $35 per guest, per day
-Deep clean fee, if required (i.e. vomit, carpet stain, bodily fluids, or excessive trash, etc.): $100-$250
-Broken/damaged items: charged at replacement value
