オーナー : Patricia Thompson
Hello, we are Richard and Patricia and we are looking forward to welcoming you in our home.
We have been affiliated with the US-Army our whole married life up until now. So traveling and meeting lots of people is part of our family-culture - so to speak. We have four children who by now have children of their own and live in Germany. Which makes us "the traveling grandparents " taking care of our house back in Germany while visiting our kids -and their kids - on the go. We take turns doing so. Either Richard or Patricia will welcome you at "the Red" - and we will help you with any issues or questions you might have.

The Red Door is only one of the charming details of our house, which is right around the corner of Santa Clause House.
The cozy interior with its wooden ceiling and the roofed patio and the large private backyard with lots of trees made this the perfect home for us.
We also fell in love with the peaceful charm, crisp air, and northern magic of this place — and we’re excited to share it with you!
The Red Door is only one of the charming details of our house, which is right around the corner of Santa Clause House.

It has a special charme, looks great on pictures and our backyard is one of the great locations to view the Northern Lights as well as to spot alaskan wildlife.
With some luck one will be able to have breakfast while enjoying the view of a moose, ptarmigans or a bald eagle in our backyard. You do not need to step outside in the cold to view the Aurora :-) just look outside the windows ..
