Location to the beach was wonderful. Steps from crystal clear water. Pool was nice and clean as was the room itself. It is small, I wouldn't recommend more than 2 people stay, anymore than that would be a tight fit, but could work if you needed it to. Location to restaurants and shops wasn't convenient for someone who did not have vehicle access so keep that in mind if you don't have transportation available. Everyone at the property was friendly and helpful. It was a quiet location which was nice. Host answered questions timely and was helpful when needed. Over all good experience.

Really enjoyed our stay here in LongBoat Key. The place was small but had everything we needed for our 7 day visit. We had our own private patio and in front of us a pool and the ocean - what more could you need?

Excellent location. Perfect unit for a couple, any additional guests would make for tight quarters. Couch was tiny, but we sat outdoors most of the time so it wasn’t a problem. Would definitely go back.

A great little place to stay for our birthday weekend getaway. Steps to the beach, the weather was beautiful. The pool was very refreshing and clean after a long day in the sun. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need. If you’re into watching TV, this is not your place. Would suggest the TV be moved into the bedroom that would be easier viewing for those TV watchers but really with the property like this, there’s no need to be inside watching TV unless it’s midnight and you can’t sleep. Very clean great place.!

Location 5 star, Unit, clean, totally mislead on size. no room to unpack,or store clothes had to live out of suitcase on floor. no place to prepare food or store it. Table to eat meals totally inadequate for more then 2 people Pull out was only good for maybe 2 small children. 1 TV could only watch from from said pull out 5 feet away. Bathroom, small no mat on tub shower floor This unit should not be allowed on your web site

Deceiving listing

There’s good and not so good about this place! First of all, the location is amazing! The unit opens up to the pool area and is steps away from a gorgeous beach! Now, the not so good…. we arrived around 3:30am to find that the unit looked nothing like what the photos on the listing show. If you are seeing a bright white/grey decor and a separate small bedroom, you are seeing the wrong unit. We messaged the owner making sure we were in the correct unit bc the unit we were in was definitely not what we saw in the photos. They did confirm they had used photos from the unit next door and that they were planning on doing the same to this unit but had not done it yet. It’s also a studio with a full size Murphy bed not a one bedroom and no king size Murphy bed as the listing says. Supposedly we were the first to stay in the unit since they’d bought it. I do feel like they should have put the correct photos and the correct description of it being a studio w a full size Murphy bed. All that said, it’s not horrible, just not what you are seeing in the photos. The location made it bearable for us to finish out our wknd stay. The owner said they would work with us to make it right and have not as of yet and it’s been over a week.

We want to clarify that while we understand your concern, only three of the listing photos were inaccurate at the time — the rest were indeed of the exact unit. We had just recently purchased the property, and while we did accidentally include a few pictures from the neighboring, nearly identical unit, our intent was never to mislead. The layout and decor are very similar, and updates are ongoing. We also want to note that we offered you a free night’s stay and a discount on a future visit as a gesture of goodwill. During our communication, we specifically asked if there was anything wrong with the unit itself, and your response was that "there wasn’t anything specifically wrong: — it just didn’t look like what you expected from a few of the photos. This condo is a beautifully updated space and is just steps from the beach, with direct access to the pool — something that many of our guests truly enjoy. We are confident that for the location, amenities, and value, you won’t find a better deal on Longboat Key. I wanted to give this property the benefit of the doubt, but after our experience, I can't recommend staying here.Listing this as a one-bedroom apartment is misleading. It's really a converted studio with walls built around the bed, leaving a cramped living room and tiny kitchen with almost no ventilation.The cleanliness was unacceptable. The toilet had mold in the bowl, the floors were covered in sand and dirt, and there was even sand in the couch, which was already extremely uncomfortable. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with too few plates and utensils for two people despite advertising accommodations for three. There was one drinking glass but three wine glasses.The final straw was the air conditioning failing less than 24 hours into our three-night stay. The unit reached 80 by bedtime. I contacted the host immediately and was told they had called an HVAC company but couldn't guarantee when anyone would come. A broken A/C before a holiday isn't necessarily the host's fault, but failing to offer a solution, alternative accommodations, or compensation is.VRBO was equally disappointing. Despite multiple calls, we still had to cut our July 4th vacation short because the unit had become uninhabitable. I was eventually promised 200 in OneKey Cash, but it never appeared. Between the misleading listing, poor cleanliness, lack of communication, and failure to resolve a major issue, this was one of the worst vacation rental experiences I've had.

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry your stay was impacted by the unexpected HVAC issue. Throughout the entire process, we remained in constant communication with you, providing updates as we received them. Unfortunately, the air conditioning system is a brand-new installation and should not have failed, but mechanical issues can happen at any time. The timing over a busy holiday weekend made it especially difficult to get an HVAC technician to respond as quickly as we all would have liked. We also offered a refund for the inconvenience, and that offer was confirmed through VRBO. Our goal was to resolve the issue fairly, even though the repair itself was outside of our immediate control. As for the property, the listing, photos, and description accurately represent the unit. There is no attempt to hide that this is a very small one-bedroom condo. It is intentionally marketed as an affordable beach getaway with the beach and pool just steps from the front door. Most guests choose this property because they plan to spend their time enjoying the area rather than staying inside the unit all day. We also take cleanliness very seriously. Had we been notified of the housekeeping concerns during your stay, we would have gladly sent our cleaning team over immediately to address them. While we're disappointed your vacation was affected by an unexpected equipment failure, we believe we communicated openly, acted in good faith, and made every reasonable effort to resolve

I always try to leave the most honest reviews for the people. Bc if they are anything like me, then reviews is how I go about booking-Anything! With that said:Room: It is rather small, but manageable, really only fit for 2 people.We did ask to check in early which was accommodated, however, floor was not swept all the way/found 3 pink fingernails on the floor...Dishes were still a little dirty and our shower doors were smudged clean.BEDS-100% Uncomfortable, Hard Futon/Sofa-100% Uncomfortable.Only the 1 TV in the livingroom.Location: BEAUTIFUL and literally 4 steps away from the pool, and the beach a few steps further out. -Can not complain about the location. Also 3 mins from a CVS and a Publix. And about 30 from a WM and other stores.Host: Bare to minimum interaction. Did not greet when it was check in time and did not say anything when we notified that we checked out. Took 25 mins to get a hold of when our AC went out on day 3; was fixed in a 2 hour window. -not a bad thing to not have an overbearing host but not use to no communication at all either.Overall, I suggest upgrading the bed and sofa and the outside seating table/chairs as they are all rusted. I also suggest that you not compromise an early check in at the expense of a good house cleaning.And get new blankets bc the ones we had, had stains all on them; glad I always bring my own blankets. I Would have rated this 5 stars hands down just bc of the beach location but I couldnt ignore the awful bed and sofa.

Mattress comfort is subjective; some guests prefer firm mattresses while others prefer softer ones. The mattress in this unit is approximately one year old and has generally received positive feedback. All photos and descriptions in our listing accurately represent the unit, including its size and layout. We also accommodated your request for an early check-in, advising that our cleaning team would need to work on an expedited schedule to make that possible, which you agreed to. While we strive for exceptional cleanliness, early check-ins can reduce the time available for detailed turnover between guests. Regarding communication, VRBO is designed around a contactless guest experience. When your AC issue was reported, we responded promptly and had it resolved within approximately two hours, on the island that is remarkable turnaround! Thank you again for your feedback.
