We had a great experience at the house! The host was super friendly and made it easy for us to communicate. They regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which made us feel really welcomed. The house itself was both clean and cozy—a perfect retreat after our daily adventures. We were especially grateful for the fantastic air conditioning; it kept us cool and comfortable during those sweltering July days. Overall, it was just the perfect home away from home!

Our stay was very peasant. Home is convenient to everything in Carlsbad. The private back yard was great for my dogs and inside the house was clean and well appointed. Would definitely book this rental again!

Charming home with handmade rustic decorations that made me feel right at home. Full disclosure: I live on a lake, so this style is 'home' to me. Even though I did not make use of the kitchen area, it is fully equipped with any and all pots, pans and utensils you may need.Everything was clean and you could tell the owners take pride in this property.I have no hesitation in recommending this for your stay in the Carlsbad area.

This was a rustic little retreat in a small town in Carlsbad, New Mexico., it’s definitely an older home, but with a cute little cabin feel.We were visiting my daughter whom is training in Artesia, about 30 min drive. There was a very good Italian restaurant within walking distance. The downside is it’s close to a main road and it was a weekend Friday Saturday night were very loud through the middle of the night with a lot of what seemed to be drag racing! And kind of a scary dog next-door that we had to walk by to go to the Italian restaurant Owner didn’t seem to care that anyone was walking by so don’t let your kids reach out! but other than that, it was fine, And It worked out just fine! The air-conditioning worked great which we appreciate it because it was very hot. Coffee pot is only a small one, but filters and coffee were provided so that was very nice. Plenty of dishes. Though we ate out most of the time.The beds were comfortable pillows were comfortable. Furniture was nice for the three of us.

Cozy and comfortable. We spent a couple days exploring the caverns and used this little house as our base station. Easy access and good communication with the host made it a great experience.

The host was great with communication, the house was very clean and we loved the wonderful touch of fresh eggs, milk, coffee and breakfast treats! The beds and couches were also very comfortable.

Hi, I’m Deanna! My husband and I work together to run this cozy rustic retreat, and we’ve designed it to feel like a home away from home. Many of the pieces you’ll see, like the cabinets, coffee tables, lamps, and wall decor, were custom made by us to create a one-of-a-kind stay for our guests.
Our stays in the mountains have always been important to our kids and grandkids, creating so many wonderful memories over the years. We wanted to bring that same warm, rustic feel into the design of this space, so you can enjoy the kind of comfort and charm we’ve come to love.
