We take safety concerns very seriously, so I want to clarify a few important points for future guests reading this. The statement about “hand-spliced electrical wires” is simply incorrect. All lighting in the unit uses standard, factory plugs—there are no exposed or modified electrical connections. Likewise, no electrical wiring runs under carpets; cords for items like the television are routed neatly along designated areas to keep them safe and out of the way. This reservation also involved a last-minute change request the day before a Christmas booking (one of the busiest and highest-demand times of the year), which we accommodated as a courtesy. When the guests later arrived, there were multiple challenges unrelated to the property itself, including difficulty locating the clearly marked building and operating basic amenities. After their early departure, the unit required significant cleaning beyond normal use. Despite this, they requested a refund of the cleaning fee, which was not appropriate given the condition the unit was left in.
