Probably great for the right person
The address shown on the VRBO map did not match the actual address of the property, which was a little off-putting when we first arrived.The apartment is in a big 20 unit building, not the two-family shown at the VRBO given address. I would not have booked based on a google street view of the real address.The narrow winding stairs up to the second floor apartment were difficult for us to safely negotiate, but we are senior citizens.For a younger urban person going to a Cubs game, this is a great location. For older rural folks like ourselves, the parking troubles, the noise of a big city and its trains and the stairs made us uncomfortable most of the time.Arrange parking in advance, because the city has convoluted parking rules with many different zones where you can not park at certain times. This property is in one such zone. I had to move our car four different times and ended up parking a mile away.Apparently, parking stickers for the different zones are available, but they were not mentioned nor provided.The apartment itself was clean and cute, definitely a value compared to the chain hotels that we investigated downtown.
