Gary seems like a great guy—responsive and very kind. The location of his home is beautiful, calm, and charming. The property has a lot of potential, but it does need attention. I was aware from other reviews that it wasn’t in the best condition, but it was still disappointing to find that it had clearly not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The yard was unkempt, with overgrown grass and broken branches and sticks scattered throughout. Inside, there were clear signs of previous occupants—crumbs on the counters, a full trash can, and leftover items like safety caps from soap bottles—which made the space feel less clean and somewhat uncomfortable. I was glad I brought my own toilet paper, paper towels, and soaps, as what was left was insufficient. The furniture had a noticeable amount of white pet hair, including clumps on the floors, and both the carpets and upholstery were heavily stained. We also experienced functional issues: the thermostat was not working (it appears to need a new coil), which my father and husband spent about an hour trying to troubleshoot, the microwave was completely nonfunctional, and the WiFi did not work either.Overall, the condition of the property did not align with the price paid for the stay.
