White Oak Cottage - White Oak Cottage

White Oak Cottage is a charming rental set on the banks of White Oak Creek in southern Ohio. You'll find it nestled in the countryside between Georgetown and Mt. Orab, and about ten minutes from State Route 32. The cottage is equipped with the basics and a few extras to make your stay an enjoyable one. The bathroom and bedroom are thoughtfully furnished and the bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Outdoors there's a lovely deck that houses a completely private hot tub with a view of the creek. You'll find the cottage sparkling clean, tastefully decorated, and the perfect place to relax and connect with your loved ones.

There is an air mattress and extra bedding available.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

- We kindly ask that there are no fireworks, loud music, or rowdy behavior.

- Check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM.

- Please be aware you will be charged 10% of the total trip at booking and the remaining 90% will be charged to the card on file, thirty days before check-in.

- Absolutely no pets. If a pet is discovered, there will be a $250 upcharge.

It was a wonderful little getaway. The hot tub was great even with it snowing a few times during our stay. Plenty of blankets and towels. The host was very easy to contact and communicate with.

This house is in a beautiful setting with the creek running directly behind the property. It was very calming to walk along the creek in the evening and listen to the birds while sitting on the deck. The stay was overall peaceful. It would be nice if there was a small TV, since the WiFi is already there. The water pressure is also very low, which is important to know if you have thick hair and need to wash it.

Getting to the cottage was very easy with no troubles with entry at all. The home was so cozy and the hot tub even cozier. The location was secluded but close to convenience stores so that made our stay even better. The kayaks were also a fun bonus and we got to see unique wild-life on the water! We were also very happily surprised to find cookies made for us (which were very yummy) as well as fully stocked cabinets with other nice amenities. :)

Listing says “sleeps 4”; however there is only 1 queen bed. Should say “sleeps 2, but can acomodate 4 if you bring own blow up bed”

The place was quaint, beautiful, and clean. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the communication. Maybe it was a fluke, but I sent a message the morning of check in stating I never received an email with the check in information. After driving the 4 1/2 hours to the location, I had to finally look up the property name to call them and ask for information. I then did receive texts and the check in email. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay, just not the stress of lack of contact the day of check in.
