No matter where I travel I always love coming home to Dedham. It is a magical place which still looks very much like the landscape that John Constable painted back in the 1800s.

Once you arrive you won't need a car to explore the miles of unspoiled countryside. You can enjoy stepping back in time and experiencing village life, but with cute cafes, world class gastropubs, chic boutiques and well stocked Coop (open 7am-10pm daily), all within walking distance. Dedham Vale is the perfect destination for walking, cycling, kayaking and paddle boarding vacations. Designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty by the National Trust, you can retrace the steps of the great landscape artist John Constable along the River Stour to Flatford and visit the spot where he painted The Haywain, his most famous piece.

Tegfan is a unique detached Tudor cottage with its own private patio right in the heart of Dedham village. Combining the charm of original exposed oak beams and wonky floors upstairs with high speed internet, all mod cons in the newly renovated galley kitchen, including a ninja woodfire bbq on the well-maintained private patio. Unlike other properties nearby, we also provide reserved parking in a private courtyard nearby, or if you prefer we can arrange for a permit for you to park on the High Street.
