We had a great stay overall! Our family of 10 (3 couples, one solo guest, and 3 kids) had plenty of space, and everyone really enjoyed their rooms. The house was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed for cooking meals. There were a few maintenance issues during our stay. Most of the outlets in the master bedroom weren’t working (only one outlet functioned), and the ceiling fan in that room also didn’t work. The host mentioned they had been experiencing electrical issues the previous week, so it would have been helpful to receive a heads-up before our arrival. Fortunately, the couple staying in that room had brought their own fan. We also had inconsistent hot water in the downstairs hallway bathroom, so we ended up using the upstairs showers most of the time. The Wi-Fi was also quite spotty throughout our stay. The walk down to the dock was fairly easy. There is a knotted rope secured to trees alongside the paved path that helps you get there. The walk back up is a bit challenging due to the incline, especially if you’re not used to hiking hills. We also encountered several lone star ticks during our visit, so I’d recommend wearing insect repellent and checking for ticks after spending time outdoors. The dock was a wonderful place to relax. It would have been nice if the property provided a a few life jackets or some basic swimming gear for guests to use. Overall we had a great time and made some great family memories! Thank you!
