Excellent stay

We enjoyed staying in this property. It is clean, cozy, well appoibted and in a great location. Easy off-street parking. Highly recommended.

Decent stay in Dutham

We have stayed in many VRBO's over the years and consistently we expect certain things in a VRBO with such high ratings. We did not get it from this VRBO. There were many positives especially the location, proximity to restaurants, and communication with the owner. But, the apartment was very tight for a family of four. More importantly, there was a lot of street noise given how close the apartment was to the street and how thin the windows were. Even my children who can sleep through anything were woken up every morning at dawn when the traffic started. Please so not rent if you are not a deep sleeper. Finallly, we were not given a front door key to enter the building and had to use the steep exterior stairs with kids to come and go. When we voiced our concerns to the owner, they were dismissed. Definitely more of a 3 rating VRBO.

Charm and comfort

This apartment was a surprise on all levels. It was actually more than promised. Comfort and great amenities. High quality appointments and everything to make our stay feel like home. And the downtown location was terrific with first-rate restaurants, a brewery and coffee shop within a short walk. Dewitt was also a wonderful host. We recommend this rental highly and would definitely return.

Great property and great location

The two of us and our dog stayed at Dewitt's property for 12 nights over Christmas and New Years. Great property and fit our needs (and those of our large dog). Walking distance to many restaurants, bars, downtown, etc. We even found a nearby dog-friendly place to have a beer and play darts/board games all inside (which was important that time of year). The place was very clean and Dewitt made sure everything was taken care of.

Wonderful experience overall!

Wonderful experience overall! This location is close to downtown Durham and walking distance to it’s restaurants. The unit is on the second floor (no elevator) with dedicated parking in the rear of the complex. Coin-op laundry facilities are located downstairs adjacent to the parking area. The interior is well equipped with the standards to include an electric kettle, toaster, 2 TVs, iron/board, blow dryer, microwave, towels, etc. The TVs are Roku equipped but no cable/satellite and local TV. The WiFi speeds were enough to stream with no buffering. The simplistic things like bottled water in the fridge was truly appreciated and very kind. Again, a wonderful experience and would enjoy an opportunity to stay here again!!

Very nice space, well kept, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. I enjoyed communicating with the owner, although I would have liked to meet him. Great restaurants and cafes in creative spaces in the neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown. For grocery shopping and shopping for random supplies, it's good to have a car. We used Uber to get to Walgreen's, Target and Whole foods. If you're a power walker, biker, jogger or someone who loves to walk everywhere, you could get a lot of exercise going shopping.

A great apartment with a caring owner

Nicely furnished and well-stocked unit. Kitchen could use a wisk. Ideal accomodations for two or three people. Twin beds are not made for tall folks. Apartment is situated in a great location with multiple pubs within walking distance. Neighbors were friendly and inviting.

Perfect place for us to celebrate my son's graduation from Duke Law School and Mother's Day! This apartment was clean, spacious and well supplied with everything you need to enjoy home away from home. Will come back here definitely when revisiting this area!

Perfect for our needs!

The apartment was bright, cheery, and newly appointed, with a perfect location, close to great restaurants, breweries, and music - what more could you ask? We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely book here again on our next visits to Durham. Dewitt was a great host - there was not a single hitch in either the booking process or in our stay.

The unit was recently totally renovated, it’s well equipped with new stainless steel kitchen appliances and beautifully furnished. The living room and kitchen has an open concept. There is a four seat dining table in the spacious but cozy well equipped kitchen. The accommodations for this unit comprises of two bedrooms one full bath. One room has a queen bed and the other has a full and twin beds. The living room has a 40" Roku smart TV and main bedroom a 32" smart TV Roku which is connected to cable service. There is wireless internet throughout the unit. There is onsite parking along with a laundry room. Large deck with table, chairs and umbrella at the front of the property.
