Great stay despite the heat wave

We were grandparents, children, and grandchild. Our week coincided with the heat wave that developed the country. Our stay at mermaid Manor helped us deal with that terrible heat. Clean, comfortable and beautiful. The house was well stocked and airy. Being less than a block from the bay and the beautiful sunsets allow us each evening to cool off and sit in the gazebo as we watch the sunset. Thank you, Lyn.

Ship Shape in Ship Bottom

Just got back from our wonderful stay in Ship Bottom. House was on a lovely residential street that dead-ended at the bay. Ocean was just a few blocks in the other direction. Very close to Hotel LBI (walking distance). Despite the rain, there was plenty to do - ping png and other games in the garage. House was immaculately clean and very spacious with two separate living room areas and porches. Check in was a breeze and Jaclyn was super responsive. Would highly recommend this house and hostess! So seamless and easy - a great way to spend a beach weekend.

Family vacation

The home is more gorgeous than the pictures depict. You can walk to the most gorgeous bay views at the end of the road and the decor and outdoor spaces were just stunning. The house was clean and everything worked well. We had an amazing time and we could’ve spent a much longer vacation there very happily.

Perfect location for wedding at Hotel LBI

We stayed at this property for 3 nights to attend a wedding at the Hotel LBI. The house was spacious and clean and the house rules clearly laid out/posted for guests; host was responsive when needed. Plenty of seating for relaxing and dining. Since guests are instructed to bring their own towels, I would suggest also bringing an extra one or a mat for stepping out of the shower onto the tile floor to avoid the possibility of slipping…for safety 😉. Enjoyed our stay!

The property and location were amazing. The area in ship bottom was quiet and family friendly. You could walk or bike to the beach as well as breakfast spots, luch and dinner, mini golf, drinks and ice cream! We had great weather all week which made the stay even more enjoyable! Thank you. Chris

Leave your stress behind

We were visiting the shore for a wedding. The condo was awesome. The location was perfect, the condo has plenty of room and is very inviting. We would stay again if we come back to NJ. Wally's for lunch is recommended.

Perfect Family House

The house was clean, in a great location, had plenty of space and there were tons of extras (beach equipment, etc.) that made our stay very enjoyable. Loved being able to walk to the beach!

A Beautiful House

This house almost fulfilled our needs. There was plenty of space for the 8 of us and the 8 and 6 year old loved the air hockey table and ping pong. The outdoor shower was a “hit” and the walk to the beach was doable. We had perfect weather which is always a plus. The only downside were the kitchen supplies. We do cook and with a 17 month old it was easier for us to eat in. There were plenty of dishes and mugs but not much glassware. The 2 frying pans caused everything to stick despite using plenty of butter and oil. There was no Tupperware to store leftovers so we purchased our own. There was only one cookie sheet and a 9x12 pan which made baking a challenge. I had read that the knives were not sharp and that was correct! The grill was not clean enough to use so we had to resort to the oven. All in all we had a wonderful time and managed to be creative with the lack of kitchenware. ThThank you, Jacklyn!

Wedding

We stayed at this property because we had a wedding at the LBI hotel. We were able to walk to the wedding and walk half a block to a gorgeous sunset every night as well as see the sunset from the beautiful decks at this home. Easy access to all around. Ping pong and air hockey a plus!

Beautiful Home

The house was very clean and well stocked. The description on the website was very accurate. Our family was there for an extended weekend and the house fit our needs. Very spacious. The owner was pleasant to deal with and responded immediately to any questions. Would stay at this property again.

Very Welcoming - Very Spacious

The Home is so Welcoming and Immaculate! Very Spacious for multigenerational living. All family members can enjoy together time as well as separately enjoying a second living room or game room in basement. Two large decks with ample seating. Quiet Family area - short walk to enjoy the prettiest sunsets.

Beautiful spacious home!!

First time visiting LBI and Jaclyn home added to the experience. Warm spacious home with plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the beach air. There 2 large decks; one is open to the sun and stars and lower deck is cover with plenty of shade. The ground level has air hockey and ping pong table, awesome! thanks Jaclyn for sharing your home with us.

Couples in LBI for Wedding Weekend

We had a wonderful stay at Mermaid Manor. The house and property were beautiful and had many great amenities (ping pong table, beach chairs & badges, private outdoor shower, washer/dryer, two lovely outdoor decks to name a few) and the location was perfect. We loved watching the sunset over the bay, and being able to walk to the beach! The house was INCREDIBLY clean and tidy - virtually spotless, which we loved. We really appreciated that Lyn was so responsive and answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly. We would love to stay again in the future. :) *Make sure to read the rental terms carefully - we realized many LBI properties require you to bring at least some of your own linens (ie towels, blankets and/or pillows) especially with Covid. We didn’t mind in the end, it actually made us more comfortable to have our own!

Lovely Family Beach home

Newly built, well laid out, Master on 1st, LOTS of activities stuff which is GREAT for families..bikes, ping pong, air hockey, and all the beach stuff..except umbrellas?? Quiet street close to everything on Bay side so 5 blocks to beach /LB blvd. Excellent beds, fully equipped kitchen (Suggestions. bath hand towels/ rugs, sharper knives and soap)

Was a wonderful few days at the beach in a lovely home, perfect for my family of 7, safe and quiet neighborhood. Very clean. Owners were very nice, communicative, and helpful. House had everything we needed. Short walk down the street to the beach or an even quicker drive. Found parking for my elderly mother near the beach every day. Hope we can stay in this terrific house again.

Loved Our Stay

The property was clean and allowed our family to have plenty of space. We enjoyed spending time out on both decks which provided great views. It was half-a-block to the bay for viewing the sunsets and a short walk to the beach to enjoy the sand and waves. I definitely hope to return in the future. It was a great vacation home and Lyn responded very quickly to each of our questions!

Focusing on family

This house was a great place for us to gather our daughters, son-in-laws and 2 grandkids under one roof and just focus on us for a change ... away from the distractions of everyday life. Given that we chose an extended Memorial Day mini-vacation, a time of year when the weather is less than predictable, it was important for us to book a place where we thought we would be happy staying put if need be. As it turns out, it rained all but half of one day and we were there ... allowing us to bond with each other in this spacious house ... playing ping pong, air hockey, board games and watching movies when not doing other "rain-friendly" things like bowling. This was our first family vacation with all 3 generations and have decided to do it yearly since this one went so very well ... crossing our fingers we will get to enjoy the beach next time like we had all hoped this year. The 2 living room areas really helped us spread out. The first day the kids and grandkids used the bikes to explore the area before the weather turned grey and wet. Pictures of the house on the website (as of March 2021) do not do it justice, so please make sure you watch the video to get a better sense of the layout. The owner is very friendly and helpful ... completing the package.

Really lovely, even better than the pictures

We had a really lovely stay here, we were pleasantly surprised that the house actually looked better than the pictures, which is not usually how these rentals work. Jaclyn was in touch but not intrusive, the location of the place was perfect, the balconies were wonderful, and it was extremely clean when we got there. We were also excited to find a ping pong table and an air hockey table in the basement, which were not in the pictures. Would definitely recommend.
