We purchased this property because of its prime location within this resort community which allows us to use the amenities easily and more frequently - and still access the beach quickly. It's a lovely location year round with plenty of activities. While a beach front location would be nice, this location offers so many more activities not available at the beach and allows everyone to easily pop over to enjoy their own activity, while still being close. It takes 30 seconds to walk to the pavilion - how easy is that? So far (and hopefully), it's better protected from bad weather and storms. Someday, it may have an Ocean View. Our children love to run around the Village Green and 'perform' at the amphitheater, visit the 'bear' behind the restaurant and Clubhouse, play Frisbee in the back yard, visit Old Pro Golf's Indoor Miniature Golf, the Carousel's ice rink, explore James Farm ecological preserve with a dog, watch a move at the old time Clayton Theater - and enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools... Off season, there are lots of community activities too - we've found the beach full of people on Thanksgiving weekend, discovered a local Thanksgiving turkey trot, Easter egg roll, triathlon, and Memorial Day parade....so far.
We live in Maryland so it is close enough to enjoy a weekend trip - and so relaxing for us... and all of the exterior work is done by the HOA - and beautifully kept up. Our children are busy summer swimmers at home during June and July.
