Great location in large property

The location of the property with the view over the water was beautiful. The size of the home was great for our extended family to spend Christmas. We had a wonderful time together. However to make the stay a better experience it would be good to improve the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils, the drawers and the cupboards. We had to wash up several dishes before we could use them. The drawer and cupboard were disorganized and dirty. For a place of that size where up to 10 -12 people to stay there is a need for more glasses etc. When you are paying top dollar there is an expectation that wasn't met , unfortunately- eg 2 wine glasses etc. These things could be fixed easily to make it a much better experience for the price that you are paying.

Excellent location and views. Property needs some updates.

We enjoyed the locations, the views and the safety of the neighborhood. There were a lot of ants in the property, we even came back to TC having some ants in our luggage, we informed the owner but he said it was because of rain. There’s only 2 full bathrooms in the property and it’s not enough for 5 bedrooms for a week stay (Al least for us with 5 teens). The kitchen needs update and more utensils. We just got the check in code one hour before the required time and it was stressful.Only one tv for the whole house.we enjoyed the leaving roomAnd the patio. Everything is expensive in San Francisco as well as the locations but it was nice to be altogether under the same roof.

All about the View!

Can’t beat the wall of windows with a stunning view from a spacious family/dining room with LoTs of comfy seating. Easy kitchen for serving a house full. Lots of bedrooms - several nicer open up couches in addition. One full and one 1/2 bath accessible to all and the 2nd full luxurious BR is off the master bedroom …but we still shared. Our disappointments were the rusty very tired back yard patios and furniture- The empty propane tank mid our one eve of grilling. ( we filled it fyi and did not gather outdoors at all unfortunately ) The washer/dryer malfunctioned upon arrival however owner very responsive and had repairman there readily. Tips to renters- no spices, even salt shaker empty. Finally found toilet paper on floor of hall coat closet (I dunno?). Despite some disorganization, the zen sitting room was unique and made up for little frustrations. Once we figured out how to crank open the skylight, it was less of a sauna and we could enjoy the space. Location, parking in driveway- excellent. We had a terrific time! Much much more good in this home! Recommend.

Perfect view/location

Host was so gracious and responsive throughout initial contact to follow-up after visit. The arrangement of bedrooms (two up, three lower level) fit our group of ten members from three generations perfectly. Neighborhood was upscale, quiet, tucked away but really easy to access. Staying north of the GG Bridge allowed us enhanced navigation to the many sites and restaurants we visited. The "beach access" is a little tricky for older folks or people who are not steady on their feet. We left our hearts not in SF but in Sausalito!

Beautiful setting. We called it the house on the hill and spent hours watching the bay. The house was able to accommodate our large family.

A Good Stay

First time hosting my own Christmas Dinner for my family in the Bay Area (I’m based in LA) and it worked out really well. Pros: Overall it’s a great home with stunning views of the Richardson Bay. So Beautiful. Heated toilets, Woodsy Cabin Feel. Small Con: Could re-organize the kitchen storage a bit and keep more cleaning sprays or wipes available. I would rent again!

Great Property, Great Location

We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving, and had family in from Ohio, New York and California. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space for the extended family to celebrate Thanksgiving. Thank you!!

Perfect Weekend

We stayed here for a friend's reunion, and we spent most of the time visiting SF. The house is fantastic and it was very easy getting into the city. Such a beautiful weekend. Would definitely recommend!

Thanksgving Holiday Stay

We had a wonderful family Thanksgiving at the house. Pros: Beautiful views, great kitchen, large living rooms, comfortable bedrooms. very nice and responsive owner. Cons: no patio furniture on beautiful lawn to enjoy views, difficult to get to the beach, needs a shower in second upstairs bedroom, However, despite Cons we had a great time and I'd stay there again.

It was the perfect weekend.

This house is fantastic. Nothing can beat the location and the views. The photos are totally accurate and if anything everything is a bit larger than what it seems. Shashi was very responsive and flexible. Anything mentioned below in not-so-great reviews we found to be no issue at all. Our group would re-visit this home in a heart beat. Shashi, thank so much for letting us use your beautiful home.

Lovely shoreside base for a family week

Great location - nice common spaces

The location was great for us for sailing out of Tiburon and Sausalito and popping over to SF to see some friends. The house has access to the water and my in-laws and kid loved looking for shells and playing on the beach. The common spaces were nice, big sitting areas.

Location excellent, house not so good!

Great location with good views across the water and close but steep beach access. General condition of the house not up to snuff for this price. Only 2 1/2 bathrooms for 5 bedrooms is pushing it. TV entertainment system badly in need of update, one TV did not work at all, the other eventually produced a low resolution picture with permanent black line across screen. A lot of chipped mugs and no wine glasses in kitchen. Also non functional toaster ( which has been reported before!). Master bed needs new mattress, also noted before. Back yard/lawn in shoddy condition for a property of this type. A very nice sunroom and certainly a good house for a family get together, but the owner needs to spend some money on it to bring it up-to expectations.

A great experience

This is a beautiful and very well maintained property. The location is perfect for a large family get together, the view from the house is stunning, the rooms are nicely appointed and the house was clean and ready for use when we arrived. I would recommend replacing the mattress in the master bedroom and adjusting the water pressure in the downstairs bathroom.

Not what it seems

Besides beautiful view the house was dirty, had some awful beds, had broken showers, had mismatched lightbulbs in same fixture (at sink for example) and was hodge podge of rooms without adequate outlets. Fine if ok with lower standards as large and view great, but at this price point we were sorely disappointed. Oh, and the kitchen was awful with no adequate lighting, a broken toaster and zero staples.

Spectacular view, great location

We had a wonderful stay at this Waterfront Getaway. We had multiple generations staying together and this house worked great for us. The neighborhood was special and we enjoyed walking down the road to a small waterfront playground. We would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Beautiful view!

Beautiful view and spacious house that comfortably fit our family of 13. Really nice area to go for walks in, and just a 10min drive to Sausalito. Our only complaint was that unfortunately the BBQ did not work, but the host was very apologetic and quick to respond. Overall, would strongly recommend this house, especially for large groups!

Great getaway for fishing

The house was great for our group of 12! We had come to go fishing and had full limits and the kitchen was awesome to cook it that night! Shopping is close and good! Thank you for sharing your home.

Stunning views, gracious home

We enjoyed the house, loved watching pelicans and ducks and perhaps even a pair of otters in the bay that the house faces. There was easy code access to the house and a kitchen you could cook in ( and we did) . It has lovely balconies facing the bay and 4 out of five bedrooms have that water view. It is less elegant more homey and that was a perfect fit for us. However there were ant problems that popped up several times and in different parts of the house, the kitchen, bathrooms and living room. It strangely didn’t seem related to food. In fairness we didn’t alert the owner until the morning we were leaving . The good news is the owner was immediately available on our first try and I imagine he will try and address the problem. It provided a very Picturesque and pleasant environment for our family’s holiday. There are toys for kids that we didn’t need but would be great for families with small kids. Wifi worked but we didn’t even try the tv. There was also a sunroom that doesn’t face the water but in warmer weather would be another great place for a family to gather, talk and play. With young kids one would need to be careful about getting to the small beach on the edge of their property which is on a steep slope with potentially hazardous stairs. . Mostly we just looked out the windows or enjoyed the sunshine on the balconies. Plenty hot water, never used the master bathroom’s jacussi .. but I would happily stay there again.

Beautiful view

Location of home is fantastic. The home was large enough to accommodate our family reunion before Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful time. The house is a bit worn. There are no screens and it wasn’t as clean as I would have wanted. Lots of spider webs. We could only use one shower for all of us because the downstairs had no water pressure. Overall it was ok for our 3day gathering. The manager was very accommodating.
