Perfect location for a long stay at Cape San Blas

We had the opportunity to meet the owners of our house which hopefully made them and us feel more comfortable since it was a six-week long rental. It was the perfect place location-wise on the Cape. Two hundred steps to the beach. Five minute walk to the Trading Post and donut shop. Great to know our dog was welcome as well.

Great place to stay

Not on the beach but close enough to not matter. Also walking distance close to donut shop, ice cream shop and general store.

Very nice.

Place was pristine. Everything nice, clean and well maintained. Location is very close to the beach with beach access close. Community pool next door was convenient and mostly empty. Only suggestion would be to put comfortable chairs in the screened porch for reading if it rains.

Nice floor plan and decor

Good; we did see a few roaches during the week. Most dead some alive. (Its a Florida thing) There are herds of rats in this area of the cape!! next time I will bring a BB gun to help control the problem. None ever seen inside, and no signs. What is the deal with them outside?? House has a very new feeling and very well built and decorated. The screened in porch is great, but a couple ceiling fans would make it even greater. The community pool is also a very nice amenity. We would stay here again.

This property was sooooo clean. It had a great location, close to pool, beach, grocery, food and yet very quiet. The floor plan of this rental was very well planned. I loved being able to walk out and two minutes be on the beach. It would be a great house for two families, or grandparents and family. Get's my thumbs up award!

Fabulous location with bad mattress and disappointing cleanliness.

Our first trip to Cape San Blas. The cape is wonderful, loved the beach which is easily accessible from the home. The home is very nice, open and airy, particularly the screened in porch. We encountered some negatives as well. We were locked out of the house a total of 3 times because the property managers didn’t assign us a code for the door until our second day there. It took 4 phone calls. There were some cleaning issues, dirty dishes with food on them in the cabinet and a shower curtain liner in the master that was yellowed due to a lack of being cleaned and covered in soap scum. The guests are expected to wash all the dishes and put them away before leaving. The mattress in the master suite was so worn out that it was caved in on both sides so badly we couldn’t roll over at night. If those issues were addressed we would stay her again but my back hurt so much from the mattress. We couldn’t stay here again if it wasn’t changed. The shower curtain liner ought to be replaced after each rental.

Fabulous location

This was our 2nd time to Cape San Blas! We can’t wait to rent Fried Green Tomatoes again! The house was very clean, super nice and in the perfect location. We walked to the Trading Post and to get donuts and ice cream daily. The walk to the beach was a breeze. It was like being right on the beach! This particular street area was well lit and made it easy to find at night compared to others. The pool was also a bonus especially with 2 kids.

Paradise visited

It was a beautiful house. The only negative was deep bathtubs with no handrails. It would be easy to fall. Would certainly rent again.

Great place!

Well-appointed new (and very nice) beach house. Very close to the beach. Right by the convince store, doughnut shop and ice cream stand, too. Perfect for a large family (we have 4 kids) or two small families. Pristine Properties (management company) was fantastic, too. Would definitely stay here again.
