Great time in Hawaii!

This property is perfect for a family of two adults and two young children. There is lots of space in the condo, the pool was great, the property was lovely and well maintained, and the staff who worked there were so friendly! ITrip was also super friendly and responsive to our emails. We had a minor issue with something in the kitchen that was resolved within two hours. Everything in the condo was in good working order. Parts of the unit have been upgraded, but other parts were a bit run down. All the beds were very comfy. The unit was definitely clean upon arrival, but in our opinion could use a bit more of a deep clean of the carpeted areas, under the furniture, etc. I also liked how the condo was very close to mulitple beaches, and enjoyed many of the stores up at the Napili Market, just a 2 min drive away. Would recommend!

Do not rent this property

The actual unit was fine, but the air conditioning did not work from the time we checked in. I specifically reserved a condo with AC because of the children. We had 2 small children (ages 9 months and 2 years) and even with fans, nap time and sleeping at night was terrible. I called the property manager immediately after check-in and pretty much every day after that. At day four of our stay, they did send out a repairman. At day 5, it was fixed and stayed fixed for 2 days. Then it crapped out again. I asked that we be relocated to a different unit, nope. I called every day, begging for them to fix this thing, but nope. Also, not as important, but still desirable, the microwave didn't work from day one. We were told a replacement would be delivered but it never was. I did call more than once about this as well. They did issue a miniscule refund (about 10% of the amount we had paid). This was an expensive vacation for us, and Maui is gorgeous, but we were so sleep deprived it was hard to enjoy. Once we started having difficulties, I looked at the reviews again, because this unit had received good reviews. I noticed someone rented this unit earlier and posted that the microwave was broken and not fixed during their stay. I suspect that the microwave was never replaced and remained in that state until we arrived. Even if they fixed the AC, I would avoid this unit, because you can bet if anything goes wrong, it will not be fixed

Secluded Getaway

Place was really nice for calmness and relaxation. Pool was clean and never too crowded. The beach had rough waves so didn’t get to enjoy that. Only issue was that the microwave didn’t work and nobody came to fix it.

Great Trip

We rented units A8 and C8 for a week in March 2023. We had an issue with the AC in one unit and the shower head in another unit. The response from maintenance was incredible. Timely, responsive, and resolved in record time. We requested a late check out last minute due to some car issues and it was granted for one unit. I honestly cannot say enough about the service and responsiveness of the team. Truly incredible! Top Box across the board!

Great for kids

Very clean, well stocked with paper products and linens - wonderful beach and pool for kids. Nice lanai. Master king bed mattress too soft but 2nd bedroom had very comfortable beds. All bathrooms upstairs.

Nice, but overpriced

This unit was okay, nothing special for the very expensive rate. After all the fees that Booking.com charges, it was not worth what you got. The unit had been updated in some area, but others were showing their wear. The dishwasher rack was broken, and a leaky ceiling. Not a bad place, just way overpriced for what is there.

Beautiful property, just a bit tired

We had a wonderful time at Kahana Sunset. The location is ideal and the property is lovely. We particularly enjoyed the pool and sitting gazing at the ocean. We had a couple minor issues and they were addressed promptly. Only complaint, and it's small, is that the unit is a bit tired and would benefit greatly from fresh carpet, paint and tiling (several are cracked). Also, while the kitchen is well stocked, we had to run the dishwasher too often because there were just enough dishes and cups for 4 people.

Great Place to Stay

We had a great time. We had turtles swimming in the ocean, right off the rocks to the right. Clean unit and stocked well too. The staff was wonderful when our daughter got a migraine on check out day and they let us stay an additional 3 hours so she could sleep. Will definitely be back.

Hawaii paradise

Our family of 4 stayed in condo for 9 days, was great. Close to everything we did, beach was perfect, and staff at condo was friendly. The small problem we had with the wash machine was fixed in an hour. Highly recommend. Thanks for hosting our Maui vacation. Hope to be back!

Great Experience!

We had a great experience at Kahana Sunset Resort C8! Kahana Sunset Resort exceeded expectations as did Maui I trip vacations. The pictures on the site were very true. We never used the inside table for dining, as we always ate outside. The staff at the Kahana Sunset resort are excellent, they clean the grounds / pool / grills everyday. This is a family / extended family type of place. We were four adults and an infant - 16 month old. This is an excellent location, but is about an hour away from the airport. It is north of Lahaina, and there is sometimes traffic tie ups around Lahaina. The unit served us well, especially the washer / dryer, and dishwasher, and two bathrooms! Only complaint: the Lanai off the master bedroom - the chairs need cushions or need to be elevated, as I could not see about the railing when lounging on the chairs, thereby not seeing the ocean. Also could not see any directions on how to retract the awnings, (not a big problem as we left them extended throughout our stay). Kitchen is well stocked, w/some spices. Adequate dishes/ silverware, utensils, barbeque tools, knives etc. We did not stop at Costco as all the guidebooks recommended, but stopped at the Safeway in Lahaina about 15 minutes south of the unit, and found their supplies / prices reasonable. I hope this helps. We would rent this unit again without any hesitation, or any unit in this complex.

Beautiful property in paradise.

We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave. It has wonderful views of the sunset in its double lanais. It had all the amenities including washer/dryer, AC, WiFi, cable, and dish washer. Would come back again.

Maui vacation 2022

Location is great. Right on a private beach with amazing views. The units are a little outdated. A simple refresh with furniture would go a long way. Otherwise, it was great, conveniently located, quiet, and comfortable.
