Do Not Recommend — Especially for FamiliesStayed here with a group of friends/our four children (infants/toddlers). The owners were aware we had young children & assured us the home would be family-friendly & ready for our stay. Unfortunately, this was not the case.We were shocked on arrival-the front yard had rusted items, clutter, & debris scattered. The real issues arose with the pool & hot tub (the reason we booked this house).As we arrived, we waited almost an hour for someone let us in. They proceeded to dump multiple chlorine tabs into the pool & hot tub. We told the host we were concerned, but they insisted it was safe to swim. The next morning we found 15-20 chlorine tabs undissolved at the bottom of the pool. We bought test strips which ended up measuring 10ppm in both the pool & hot tub. Safe levels are between 1-3ppm. This was dangerous & completely unusable, especially with young kids.I messaged the host with the information-no response. I reached out to VRBO & provided photo evidence of all of these health concerns-nothing done. If we had not taken our own precaution, our children could have been at great risk for chlorine poisoning. The host offered a 200 refund on or stay due to the delayed availability of the property, though we have yet to receive. The inside of the property was fine, but we had an incredibly poor experience overall. I have never written a bad review on a stay, but this was so concerning for health and safety. Don’t recommend.
