Welcome to your peaceful Mission Viejo retreat! This well-located home is just minutes from the Shops at Mission Viejo, Oso Creek Trail, Lake Mission Viejo, Irvine Spectrum, and only a short drive to Laguna Beach and Disneyland. Enjoy comfort, convenience, and privacy in a quiet neighborhood. The property includes a separate guest house with its own entrance and no shared spaces, ensuring a private and restful stay.

Guests will have access to entire ADU. No pool/spa or backyard use. There could be a guest in the house. No shared spaces.

We want your vacation rental experience to be memorable and convenient. Keeping a comfortable and clean property is what is most important to us. We will be available anytime via messenger to answer any questions or concerns.
We take the approach of being hands off on the property unless needed - we want you to feel like you have the home all to yourself!

CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES
Note: When making a reservation through our website or when using credit card payment there is a 4-6% credit card processing charge that is paid to Stripe (the credit card processing company). If AT ANY TIME there is a cancellation, the 4-6% charge is not refunded.

DAMAGE PROTECTION
The extra charge listed as “Waivo Insurance” on your reservation covers accidental damage in the home within a certain limit. If something happens or breaks during your stay please let us know immediately so we can file a claim.
Note: This amount only covers a 10 day or less stay. If you are staying longer than 10 days we will request the difference in amount for coverage.
MARRIOTT GUESTS -- You are not charged a Waivo Fee. You will be asked to upload your credit card information to the reservation upon booking, this will act as the card on file (similar to hotels) in case any damages occur during your stay.

Great neighborhood location

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this clean and comfortable property which was our base while visiting relatives. We enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and shops. Hope it is available the next time we visit!

Great location to visit Mission Viejo

Place as described is roomy! More than enough room for 2 people. Definitely need a car, but easy to get around Mission Viejo. The host was great. Always quick to respond to questions and any issues.

Perfect Home-Away-From-Home

We so enjoyed this immaculate cottage during our visit with our grandchildren in Trabuco Canyon. Each morning we shared delicious coffee in the beautifully decorated kitchen & dining area and in the evening, truly the best sleep we’ve had in years! I especially appreciated that each area is respectfully designed for any guests with special mobility needs. As long as our family is there, we’ll definitely return.

El Cortijo Cottage

Sandy Kay and Terry Duzich were excellent hosts. Very attentive to any needs we had during our stay. The cottage was spacious, clean, and comfortable. All the amenities for what we needed for our two week stay. The location is great, in a quiet neighborhood close to shopping, a walking trail, and to site seeing. Highly recommend this place for couples wanting to be in Mission Viejo area.

Wonderful property and great hosts!

Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, closet and bathroom were all huge! Clean and beautifully decorated! Completely stocked with necessities. Beautiful and quiet neighborhood. Located near restaurants and shopping. Hosts were just a phone call away. They politely answered their phones and resolved any questions. We will definitely stay here again!

Exceeded my expectations

This one bedroom property is huge and gorgeous. Everything looks new and clean. The Ca King bed was super comfortable, the shower pressure was excellent. This is probably one of the nicest rentals I’ve stayed in and I’ve stayed in a lot of places. And the property managers were very attentive and responsive though I didn’t encounter any issues during my stay. Highly recommend!

Just what we needed for our OC stay.. As advertised - well-appointed, very clean, quiet street, easy parking, convenient to shopping. Very spacious - comfortable sleeping 3 with fold-out couch. Had a group of 10 together for dinner with room-to-spare. And our hosts Sandy & Terry were very attentive, responsive, considerate, with excellent communications from start-to-finish. We will look no further on our next trip to the area.

Spacious property

Hosts were great communicators. They checked in several times to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Check in and check out were super easy. Bedroom, bathroom, kitchen all very spacious and nicely decorated. Please note no dishwasher-hand wash only. Please also note there is a courtyard on the property that you don’t have access to but that the windows of the cottage look out on. The other renters weren’t an issue at all, but you do need to keep your blinds closed if you have your lights on at night and the other renters are using the pool or fire pit in their courtyard. Neighborhood is very walkable and this was close to a ton of amenities.

Perfect Cottage for Two Weary Travelers......

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. It was tastefully decorated and the personal touches that welcomed us were a pleasant surprise. The kitchen was well supplied with all the essentials for meal preparation. The double sink and extra large shower in the bathroom were a definite plus. There was ample parking on the street for our vehicle and the neighborhood was quiet. A grocery store and many options for dining were within close proximity to The Cottage. The rooms were spacious with large flat screens in the living room and bedroom which had a nice selection of streaming options. The hosts reached out to inquire if there was anything we needed to enhance our stay, but we were completely satisfied with everything that the hosts had already provided. If we ever return to Southern California, we most definitely will book our stay at The Cottage.

Amazing

Sandy, Terry, and her team were the best hosts!I’ve always been a bit skeptical booking due to horror stories you would read about. However, the house was spotless and I felt like I could actually sleep without a worry. The kitchen had everything you possibly could think of, even ziploc bags, aluminum foil, and plastic wrap. I felt like I actually lived there, and didn’t want to leave! The team were super accommodating, and no matter what time it was, they responded right away! I wasn’t expecting that! They also did their check in to make sure I had everything I needed. Sometimes, it’s difficult to travel with a toddler, but they had a crib, baby chair, and books & toys! The washroom was also very roomy - you could probably fit the whole family in the shower and tub! The neighborhood was also lovely. It’s a short walk to the grocery store, and it’s true, people who live in California are super friendly. We were greeted by so many neighbors. It is definitely safe to walk around and get lost.Thanks again team for making our stay so wonderful!

Super Spacious, Clean and Safe!

I came into town for work. I know Mission Viejo well, and this location was perfect- located close to everything you may need in MV & South OC. The neighborhood is very safe and I felt comfortable at all hours. I took a long walk in the neighborhood as well, for exercise - a safe and pleasant walk. The unit is in the back of the property - like a mother-in-law unit. It had a fabulous kitchen with everything I needed to cook my meals, including many spices. The bedroom was very comfortable. The closet was huge! As was the bathroom. The shower was luxurious. I didn't have a chance to use the jetted tub- but will be sure to try it next time! I'll definitely look to book this one again! The one thing another review mentioned - which I was glad to know about ahead of time- is that the front house is also a vacation rental, and the pool is right outside this unit - so you can hear/see the front house guests swimming in the pool. They must have a curfew, though, and they were done before I headed to bed, so it wasn't an issue for me. Outside of this, it's super quiet any other time. Loved my stay!

Great, spacious place for a family of four!

We arrived here with our 2 kids. We usually stay in at least a 2 bedroom, but decided to try this place out. I am so glad we did! What an absolutely awesome find. We had plenty of space - enough space that after almost 8 hours of car driving we were able to have enough room that our kids didn't start fighting with each other! Always a win in my book. Down to details - plenty of room for the 4 of us to sit and watch TV together, nice big kitchen and table for dinner, nice sized bedroom and very comfy bed. We spent most of our days away, but had very comfortable breakfast and coffee times, as well as evening TV time. Now .. can we talk about the bathroom?! Holy moly. It was HUGE! The soaking jetted tub was such a great relaxation point for this tired Mama! The shower was also a great size and with 2 showerheads it was a nice experience! Really looking forward to visiting this space again soon. The owners were lovely and communicative - offering assistance in finding recommendations if we needed, and checking in with us to see if we needed anything at all Truly a shining gem and worthy of a 10+ rating!
